It's always difficult to rate and write a review for a gas station because they're pretty much a simple process that requires little human interaction and they're all pretty much the same: Pull up, pay, pump and leave. I felt compelled though to write this review after reading all the negative reviews in my opinion not about the actual business, but about the customers lack of due diligence before accepting service. Yes, this place is both self and full service. Yesterday I pulled in, I live on the East Side of Providence so Mineral Spring isn't a place I normally find myself, but alas! There I was in need of gas. I pull in, it's pouring out so I pull next to a pump that's covered by the canopy when an older gentleman appeared next to my window asking if "I wanted full or self" then followed up by saying "full is $.90 extra a gallon". With that information I decided to pump my own gas. I moved to another pump, went inside where the gentleman and I said I didn't need to save the money (I do drive a German sports car) and how many people he has to tell on any given day. We then discussed the rain, the Patriots and how quickly Thanksgiving is approaching. All this under a minute after which I went outside, pumped my gas and left. I feel most of the reviews people are just mad for not actually paying attention and rather than accepting they may have made a mistake, they will take it out on the business itself. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The staff was unfriendly and seemed uninterested in helping customers. The service was slow, and I felt ignored most of the time. The overall experience did not meet my expectations, and I don't think I'll be coming back. I hope they improve their customer service and pay more attention to their customers. read more

This guy is a complete scammer. He pretends to care about you and be an honest person. Then overcharges for everything. I just paid $550 to get air pump replaced. Everywhere else I called said no more than two hours worth of work. One third of the price he charged me. This is, after I spent over $300 trace to an electrical wire two days before. Just stay away!!!!!. I will be telling everyone about my experience read more

I went to BO gas station today Just to get my spark plugs changed and 6 spark plugs cost 75$ so I figured it would be less than 200$ Counting labor This place charged me 400$ for an hours worth of work He is such a rip off I recommend that he be reported He's ripping you and me off I Wil NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN and I recommend you do the same Deb is a rip off he takes advantage of you Someone should call the better business bureau on HIM and that place Fuck BP GAS STATION MINERAL SPRING AVE NORTH PROVIDENCE read more

Deen and his team are excellent and do great work and are pretty good with prices!

This place is a rip off. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone and would rather try to do my own oil change if this place was the last place on earth. If I could give negative stars I wouldm read more

Oil change was handled quickly! I just drove up and the car was serviced. Will definitely use them again.

Excellent and friendly service. I bought a truck which needed inspection. The owner told me that the front passenger and driver's windows were tinted( which I didn't,t realize) and the truck could not pass inspection. They removed the tint, gave the truck an oil change and it passed inspection!. All the work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. My wife and I will continue to go there for service. Thanks read more

Drop my car off in the morning for an inspection and oil change with no appointment. Car was ready by 1pm.

Deeb is a FANTASTIC mechanic! I've taken my car to him many times and he's always been able to fix my car problems to my satisfaction. Sometimes it can be a LITTLE expensive but overall, I believe he's saved me hundreds, if not thousands on repair costs over the years. I've even sent my mom to him for her car problems, because I trust him more than the Good Year shop she goes to down the road that charges an arm and a leg for EVERYTHING. He is an expert car diagnostician. Best in the business if you ask me! read more

My car inspection was due. Called many shops and everyone of them said they are too busy and I need to wait until the end of next week. Actually because car inspection is only paid for $56, a lot of shops do not like to do small jobs like that. A friend suggested to call walk-in BP station on Mineral road. I did and went there. The engineer who worked there is called Deeb. He immediately stopped to work on the other car and started to inspect my car. In one hour my car is fully inspected. I was overjoyed!!. Deeb is very professional, kind. I think he is the best engineer with a gold heart who treats his customers like his friends. He is the best in the world!!! I certainly will go back any time I need car work. read more

I went in for an oil change and three days later my engine goes to sh*t. Problem I found was Way to much oil, please don't do business with this money hungry man. I don't like his attitude and how rude he was threw out the one hour and fifteenth minutes he had me waiting for the oil change. Hopefully he doesn't mess up any other humans motors like he did mine. also please don't pay for gass at this gas station as he will scam you for half the price you pay. I put in 30 dollars of gas and my car only pumped 10 dollars worth of gass good enough for 2 hours, like c'mon man how are you still in business. Ol Italian freak was also encouraging others to stare at women while they walked by and or came to pay for gas. read more

I told the mechanic when I brought the car in for service the max I could spend was 500 bucks based upon my budget he did the repair unauthorized and charged me $1,150. Complete rip off the exhaust tips were put on crooked I will never go here again save yourself read more

Deeb is the kindest man. Fantastic mechanic too. I will not take my cars anywhere else!

They really have to have negative stars The service is terrible here and the quality of service matches Do not go here read more

Do not buy gas at this gas station. They$2.79 as the price, yet when we pulled up to the pump someone came over to service us. I was surprised because I had not had that kind of service for a long time. I was further surprised when I noticed the price per gallon is $3. 64, $0.85 more than the price they list. There are no signs warning one that this is full serve and that you'll be paying through the nose for it. Do not buy gas here. This seems like a scam. read more

This gas station charged me 165.00 for oil change and rotate tires very expensive this bp is price gaucher I will never let than service my car read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my car to BP on Mineral Spring Ave. for inspection. I was told I needed a new muffler due to a tiny hole in my muffler and needed to buy a new one. He offered to replace it for over $300. I went to the part store and was told I didn't need a new muffler. In fact I was told all it needed was to be spot welded. I took it to a different garage. The guy charged me $20 and it took about five minutes. Big difference between spending $20 and over $300. The guy at the parts store told me that the muffler only cost $80 anyway. So raising prices on parts, doing unnecessary work, and charging crazy money for labor are common here apparently. I am sitting here now for over an hour when I had a 9am appointment to look at the work I had done and give me my inspection. The guy has been extremely unpleasant and I can honestly say I will never come here again. I live less than 5 minutes away from here. I won't even come here for gas anymore, and I used to. I was even told by the parts store that this guy is constantly ripping people off. Not something you want to hear about someone who you trust to work on your car!! BP Mineral Spring read more

Went there for gas and didn't realize there was a self serve and full serve area. Once the guy came out he didn't say anything that it costs more he just asked for my card to fill it. If anything they're usually 10 cents more per gallon when it's full. It was A DOLLAR PER GALLON MORE. I normally pay around $45 to fill and it cost almost $70. Never going back. Ripoff. read more

Owner is a grump. My tire wouldn't take air, flat on the ground. I was in a parking spot (not blocking a pump) and he refused to let me spend 5 minutes changing the tire myself. It's under 20 degrees today. He's just a mean grump. read more

Literally created this account to let people know they will just start pumping your gas for you and charge you a full $1 extra per gallon for "full service" even though they promote cheaper prices. Will never be getting gas there again. read more

May St. Charbel's light shine through, in our Lord's name, to keep you and your family well and healthy, Deeb. Thank you so much for taking good care of my Mom to ensure her Chevy Impala was operating safely. My mom's car broke down in Johnston. My aunt had the car towed to BP's on Mineral Spring, as she, herself had Deeb work on her own vehicles. I was very hesitant, at first, because we've had the same trusting mechanic for over 35 years in Northern RI. After a phone conversation and a visit to the garage, Deep showed me the exact issue with my Mom's car. He took the time to inform me about the mechanics. I was assured he wasn't taking advantage of my mom, considering my father always took care of the vehicles. My mother was happy and relieved her car is running well. I truly appreciate the time he took to review and troubleshoot the mechanics. A trusting mechanic is hard to find. Thankfully, Deeb is. Wishing you many blessings. Thank you. read more

This is the worst service station around. Don't go here! They could not even replace a stud in my wheel. The labor rate of $90.00 an hour is outrageous! They charged me $90.00 and didn't complete the job. I went back a few days later and the owner said the mechanic didn't show up so I was out of luck. Save yourself a big headache and go somewhere else! read more

Wish I could give this 0 stars dropped my Car off for an oil change and check engine light turns out it's the gas cap cap yeah should be 50 60 bucks. Yeah right 130.00. I told him I wasn't happy with that he told me he gave me a deal on the check engine light. He only charged me 75 instead of 85 to put my car on the machine which takes about a minute. Never bringing my car there again. Wish I had read the other review before dropping off my car. read more

Hi I would like to say this gas service station is with very poor service. First I have been to other full service gas stations and they don't charge 33% more or in this case when gas price is 2.20 on average per gallon this gas station charges 3.259 per gallon. I did not realize that specific pump was full service price being higher and supposedly listed higher on his prices so when I went out to pump my gas the guy came and he said he will do it me not thinking they charge 1$ more I gave him the card he filled the tank while the pump was on automatic fill with the metal clip holding the pump on he washed my front windshield and my rear windshield. I was like oh nice what a great service I tipped the guy a 1$ took my recite and drove off without realizing I paid 21$ extra for the full service pump and yes I filled 21 gallons so extra 1$ per gallon was extra 21 $. Afterwords I realized the scam this guy is running and decided to call him and ask him about the price. He was VERY RUDE. I don't know how he is able to keep his business running while not looking for costumer satisfaction. I will say I will never go to this gas station ever in my life even if it is the last place with gas I would prefer to walk than give that guy a penny of my money. The owner was very loud and defensive I think bc he knows he is running a scam and he preys on people not to realize how much he charges for the full service gas. He tried giving me examples if you go to a steakhouse do you expect them to tell you about the price before hand. He said that bc I told him he should have said what the extra price was for the full service. If I knew I would not have gone to that pump. You drive by gas station and see the regular gas price listed but then if you don't pay attention and end up on the full service pump which is not well designated with pricing you will end up paying the extra 1$ per gallon. I tried telling the owner that he is forcing me to write a bad review he did not seem to care. I would think a good owner would like to keep having customers coming back to him but this is not the case with this owner. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE EVERY CUSTOMER OUT THERE AWARE AND TO TRY TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAS STATION AND THE SCAM THEY ARE RUNNING WITH CHARGING 1$ EXTRA PER GALLON FOR THEIR FULL SERVICE PUMP. AS CONSUMERS WE HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER AND I KNOW PEOPLE DONT USSUALLY READ REVIEWS PRIOR TO PUMPING GAS BUT IF YOU DO PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THAT GAS STATION. GOOD LUCK MY FELLOW AMERICANS I HOPE YOU DONT GET SCAMED. read more

My daughter stopped for gas. Asked the attendant to fill up with REGULAR. The Attendant filled up her car with Silver and never gave her a receipt Never use this station read more

The owner Deeb is a money hungry grub. You do not receive any paperwork with explanation of labor parts and cost..only a receipt of money paid for work. Its like he throws these prices off to you from the top of his head. More important is that the mechanical work is poor. I had to bring my car back 3 times for the same problem with him charging me 3 times and saying it was something else. Shame on me for going back to get ripped off again and again. Since I have shared my story to neighbors I am now hearing back from others that have experienced similar. I am shocked that he gets away with this. Of course he needs to make money on the proper work done but to rip off hard working people that put their trust in him is outrageous and shameful. read more
