Surely that is a temporary situation, but a welcome one. There are what seems to be a million pumps. An area for cars and a separate area for semi trucks. Easily accessible for either, so that is a definite plus. The store inside is huge also. What impressed me is the offering of food. I actually went ahead and bought myself a slice of pepperoni pizza and I must say it was delicious. Who knew? Well now that I do know, this may well be a stop on my way home for a slice or more. Of course you can also get all the things any decent gas station would offer.

The station has multiple bays with diesel and 3 types of gasoline available at the modern pumps. There is also a convenience store just a short stroll from the pumps. Although I didn't go inside, I noticed helpful items from the lot including the propane tanks and bags of ice. My wife was able to find a spot to pull into though it doesn't have a large bay area. She was able to take care of filling up without having to go inside for a receipt. I like when a gas station has functional equipment and makes getting a fill up easy without having to deal with waiting inside for folks her are shopping. The only somewhat clean toilet was in a stall where the door lock was broken. Couldn't even see my reflection in the mirrors. There were fingernails in the sink!! My boyfriend reported filthy restrooms for the men as well. Defiantly helped in our decision to not get a fountain soda for our 4 hour drive or any item that requires them to clean.

There are 20 bays for pumping gas which are angled to Morris Street instead of straight in. I was pleased with how much easier it was to angle into the space. However, you can only access the station and street from entry points on each end of the lot. It avoids having lots of people pulling in and out at the same time and causing accidents. Good planning. Of course, all the machines are brand new. No problems using my pump though it was out of paper or had some other reason for sending me into the clerk to get a receipt. That was fine on this visit because I wanted to see what it looked like inside. As I passed by the ice and propane gas cylinders on the outside, I entered into the high ceiling-ed room. They had a bunch of snacks on racks in the middle, chilled items along the back wall, a coffee and beverage station to the right. In the back right corner, there was a place for hot food (not open during my visit) and the cashier counter. There is also a large room to the left that was closed off. I couldn't tell if it had a purpose or if it was something waiting to be occupied by another business. As I patiently waited for the arrival he made remarks of my hair and fair skin, calling me names such as stupid. Ive never been a position like this, it was awful. For a while there were plexiglass barriers at there registers and at least the staff was wearing masks. As of this week, the plexiglass is gone, staff was wearing their masks under their noses. 90% of the customers going in and out were not wearing masks or face coverings of any kind. Witnessed a mask-less customer at the register turn and just cough out into the air without even attempting to cover his face with his arm or something. It's truly gross, disrespectful and frustrating that they clearly don't care about covid safety here. And obviously goes against the county public health guidelines. Just hoping the employees working aren't the ones to suffer the consequences. Just an FYI if you need to go inside the station. Outside though, the gloves at the pump I used were stocked, at least. As anyone who has found themselves in a low fuel situation in the downtown area can attest, finding…read morea gas station that has easy access both in and out of the fueling bays is a challenge. Fortunately, as I was heading west on Raymond Street heading home from Fountain Square, I spotted this station on the northwest corner of the intersection with Meridian Street. I chose to enter from the south side of the property and pull into a bay. The place looked clean and the equipment seemed to be in working condition on all of the bays. I was soon filling my tank under the covered awning. I didn't go inside to check out the convenience store, but I did notice that this place didn't have a lot of peripheral items stacked outside. They did carry ice and propane tanks, but I didn't see rock salt or ricks of wood like some other stations (not that I needed either.) This is one of those places where the awning over the bays doesn't extend to the building, so be advised on rainy days that you may want to pay at the pump. The pump worked quickly, had paper to print my receipt, and I was soon able to pull onto Meridian Street and begin my journey home. Nice to know this spot is here! Review #3554
