Miller's Produce - Local Beer Selection

    Miller's Produce

Good spot for gas as it's the first gas station over the border in SC. The price is usually…read moreanywhere from $0.20-$0.40 cheaper than NC. Depends on if there's been a hurricane or something recently really. It's a bit of a dump. It adjoins lots with an ABC store and the huge flea market that I'm also less than impressed with. The lot in general is fairly "bombed out". Watch for potholes and mounds of gravel when pulling in here. And since there's no median to speak of, watch for cars turning in and out from just about anywhere. Traffic in front also gets bad. The pumps are old and I avoid the place because I'm pretty sure it's a skimmer's paradise. Inside the store is shoddy and old. They have "beer on tap" according to their sign. A hodge-podge of sodas, candy-bars and everything else that looks in varying levels of age. "Produce" is a misnomer. If you can handle the extra 2-5 minute drive, pass Miller's and turn left at the light. All the way down this road at the next light you'll find a QT that's in SC. World's above this place in every possible way.

There were probably about 20 pumps to choose from so I'm sure this place stays busy, especially for how close to NC and how cheap the gas is. The inside of the store is half beer mart and then some other trinkets and gifts with a very small section for your basic gas station candy. Some produce, but it was out of season, assume that selection will grow. There is an ABC store next door and I guess thats about all I have to say about that.

I stopped by this Shell station hoping to save an additional few pennies but they're not a member of the Fuel Rewards Program. Bummer. It's still some of the cheapest gasoline in the area and the location right off I-77 is convenient. Convenience store inside. I didn't go in as my receipt printer at the pump worked just fine.

They always have my monster absolutely zero (the black can with blue writing) on deck which is the reason why I started coming here. I went to 27 stores one day between northeast concord and tega cay looking for the only drink in America I like and stumbled on this hidden gem. Luckily I'm only 15 minutes from this store but wish I knew this before driving home from work one day and stopping 27 times . The gentlemen who works here with the short black hair and the woman with long black hair always in a bun and wears her mask have just been exceptional towards me and it means alot. I'm no one special but when I walk in to this store I feel special. They are always so friendly and helpful. You can't beat customer service like theirs and they deserve a raise! I also met the owner or manager I believe and he is just as nice. I have always made friends with my local gas station clerks because they see me the most given I drive 3k miles in less than a month but this location is my go to because of how friendly they are. I will only come here for my monster and gas even if they have higher prices. Kindness matters. Sounds mushy and dumb but you literally never know what someone is going thru and their kindness has been so refreshing considering everything going on in the world and in my life. So just remember, be kind, be like this staff, because a small gesture whether good or bad can make or break someone's day. Thank you Adams Mart Shell staff, you have made my days a little better and easier with how kind and accommodating you are.
