A bit embarrassing but I'll own it. I've gotten so many people to join Costco because I talk about it so much. I love everything there. You can buy groceries, household items and even clothing. I like the regular items I go back for every week but also love that they continually change it up. I always take advantage of the sales. I only get gas at Costco, it feels safer than a regular gas station. Usually not too bad of a wait when I go. Great customer service. Great return policy. Wish there were more costcos around! They get so busy.

"How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?" (Pink Floyd)…read more Guess what, Pink Floyd? I skipped the meat entirely and went straight for the tiramisu pudding cake! Let me be clear: I spent zero dollars on this cake. A coworker brought it in, I was hungry, and my blood sugar was issuing ultimatums. So I did what any reasonable adult would do when faced with a huge mascarpone-laden cake sitting in the break room -- I grabbed a slice. Maybe two. I'm not here to answer questions. Now I would say that the Kirkland Signature tiramisu round cake is technically a "scoop pudding cake." This is a polite way of saying Costco fully expects you to abandon all dignity and eat this thing directly from the container with a serving spoon at 2am on a Tuesday. Is this an authentic Italian tiramisu? No. This is the 48-roll, bulk paper towel interpretation of tiramisu. It's not going to be the best you've had by a long shot. And yet... there are rumors of people eating it in the Costco parking lot to destroy the evidence before going home. I choose to believe these heroes walk among us. Some reviewers complain about the lack of rum or whiskey. To them I say: be the change you wish to see. Drizzle some on your plate, let it soak in, and suddenly you're much better equipped to deal with Bill Lumbergh and his TPS reports. You're welcome. Overall, this cake is a little light on flavor and about as authentic as a gondola ride in a shopping mall. But as a mid-workday snacky snack, it gets the job done. It's light, it's easy, and--crucially--it doesn't make you feel like you need to lie down under your desk immediately afterward. Bottom line: We don't need no education. We DO need more tiramisu. I paid nothing, ate twice, and I'd do it again.

We find one cheeseburger, one chicken sammich, and one breakfast sammie in the entire serving area. Poop. About to call quits and settle for the cheeseburger and chicken in a 2-for deal, Corliss pipes up from where she's sweeping the floor to let her know when we're ready. Two seconds later, she's on her radio to ping Tasha in the kitchen with a request for four fresh rib sammies made to order. We're two kids so giddy with our unexpected spoils that we inhale them in the car while the gas pump does its thing - don't judge. Half an hour later, he's still wowed from the lovely ladies taking time to get rib sandwiches ready especially for us at 2:30 in the morning - cute. My loyalty to Kwik Trip initially started in finding out how truly well the company treats its employees. It grew from interacting with happy employees who clearly took pride in their space and their work, as well as my appreciating the quality of products at Kwik Trip - gas and food both. As for the service, I doubt I need say more. Kudos to Kwik Trip and its kickass teams for creating a chain of gas stations that's so much more than that. Stay awesome! End review: 3:24 am. After a long, but fun day travelling and taking in a couple of hockey events, I drove back to my hotel and realized that I didn't have any beverages to consume back at the hotel. I knew that there was a gas station close by. I drove over to this Holiday gas station. I parked. At around 11 pm, you can pretty much park anywhere. This gas station is brightly lit. You can't miss it. I was the only customer. A staff member was outside getting some air. He said hi to me and we talked as we walked in together. It was nippy outside. Our conversation made me realize one reason why I loved living in this state. Everyone is so friendly. As the saying goes, it's the Minnesota nice in people. I got two 591 mL bottles of pop. I got a Diet Coke and a Diet Dr Pepper. There was a sale going on with pretty much everything. I was thrilled to see small packages of M&M's candies on sale. My weakness is looking at baked goods and sandwiches. The selection was impressive. I went bold and got a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. I thought that if I woke up late the next day, I could warm this breakfast sandwich up in my room. The man cashed me out. I looked at the total before I paid using my credit card and it came up to $6.66. I made a comment about it, which made both of us laugh. He let me know that customers typically grab something else to change this devilish number. I just left it alone. If doom happens, I will die happy with pop and a croissant breakfast sandwich. I had the Diet Coke with my spaghetti and meat sauce meal once I got back to the hotel. It was nicely chilled and perfectly washed down my meal. The following morning, I heated up my sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. It was surprisingly delicious! The egg was an omelette. It tasted fresh and was fluffy. The croissant was flaky and tender. I love sausage. Gotta go with Jimmy Dean when in the States! The cheese melted nicely and held everything together. I'm a fan of Holiday. Who knew? I'd come back for the selection, quality, and customer service. (406)
