This was our first and last time here. My Husband ordered a hamburger$9.00, fries $4.99 and I ordered a vegetable plate. His burger was decent. My plate was a loaded twice baked potato, green beans, slaw, 3 onion rings, and fried apples. I received a half of a baked potato with a small amount of cheese. It may of had butter mashed in with the potato. . Needless to say we were disappointed. We had heard so many good things about this restaurant. A little pricey for the quality of the food. I only get here every few years. They have the best catfish and hush puppies around. They also have delicious fresh made tartar sauce. The fries are hand cut (not frozen) and the onion rings are large and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw is vinegar based with just the right amount of sweet and tart. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. The restaurant is large but not loud ( as many are these days). Looking forward to another visit soon! read more

The all you can eat catfish is wonderful. We travel 2 hours just to eat there. The catfish is cooked to perfection. The sides that come with the fish is a hungry man paradise. You get everything that goes with a catfish dinner. It is so worth the trip. I highly recommend Boyette's. read more

In Reelfoot area with family for a memorial and visiting from out of town. We walked in after to get some food with 17 family members looking forward to some good southern food. After being stared down by everyone to include staff we asked if there was a table. You would think they would be excited about the money we were about to spend and tip but instead we get a deep sigh and told " not sure if I can get you a table" and before even looking around tells us "it's going to be a hour" no smile, no welcome, no apology just a please go away look. My kids new to this area noticed right away we were not welcome. So all this to say that if you are not from the area I'd recommend you find a more friendly and welcoming place. read more

We absolutely love dining at Boyette's Dining Room. Their catfish is cooked to perfection, their beans and green beans are cooked just like Mama makes. They also come with onion rings that you can't find just anywhere. Their service is outstanding. Almost as soon as your order, your food comes out. You don't leave hungry for sure. When you leave, don't forget to pay cash or check if you don't want to pay the Ccard fee. And then if the weather is good, walk across the street to look at the eagles, hawks, owls, and snakes! We have to drive quite a bit but we do it because it's so special. read more

This is THE place for authentic southern food. Everything is fried and very greasy. Honestly, I am not a big fan of that type of cuisine but I made do. The grilled chicken came in a pretty large portion but it was pretty dry. The French fries were fried and very crispy. The dinner rolls reminded me of the grocery store sweet hawaiian rolls (a good thing). My favorite part was the hush puppies and green beans. The wait staff was so wonderful. The decor is a very nice pub feel with low ceilings. It's nice and clean, and the people are so very nice and attentive. The food was very greasy and way to much bread/starch in one meal. We're still suffering from the oily fish since we're not used to this much fried food in one meal. Fries, sweet hush puppies, a huge bowl of slaw with sugar vinegar dressing, two cornmeal catfish filets, and onion rings. We ordered to go, and it was AMAZING FOOD and SERVICE!!! The Cole slaw was made differently than we are used to, but it was really good. The catfish was my all-time favorite. Everyone knows this is the best restaurant in the Reelfoot area. i am not trying to bash them at all but am disappointed over the old fashioned onion rings not being made anymore. We were there last night and ordered the old fashioned onion rings and were told they are no longer available on weekends. What????? Some other customers came in after us and were told the same thing. This is not a good practice in my opinion. It worries me and disappoints not only me but a lot of others. I hope this is not a sign the place is in trouble but when a place as legendary and as good as this tries changing things such as this it makes people not want to drive long distances to spend their money. Went there today, February 17, 2023, and I have the most wonderful experience I've had in a long time. We went with our church group, totaling 64 seniors and had an incredible meal. The service was better than you could ever expect anywhere, the girls were on their toes and seemed to not be able to do enough for you. I ordered the catfish steak based on other reviews posted here. Took one bite and had to spit it out--I'd never tried catfish and I'd never tried a fish steak but that experience sealed the deal for me. Onion rings were good like other reviews claimed. The slaw and white bean side dishes seemed canned/frozen (not fresh) and were not pleasant to eat. Our waitress was nice, and the wait time was about 30-40 minutes after sitting down. If you're a younger person and you've been to Home Town Buffet recently, it's the exact same vibe: food that's perfect for the elderly palate. read more
