Restaurant has been open since 1975, a great testament to the small community here. Friendly casual dining room plenty of tables open and clean well kept. Our service was impeccable and the food was perfect. Our waitress had an infectious smile and so fun to talk too. Friend fish and whole dinner was awesome read more

What an amazing fish plate! Service is awesome and down home that grandma would love and appreciate. The smell of cypress wood brings back memories of eating fried fish down in Louisiana. The hush puppies were simply heaven coupled with those big fat catfish steaks. read more

Awesome food great service friendly people great atmosphere, the recommend to anybody southern cooking

It wasn't that great. It was pretty bland. When I called to make a to go order the person I spoke with was pretty rude. The slaw was really good. Overall the food was just okay but pretty expensive. I would not go out of my way to eat here again. read more

This was our first and last time here. My Husband ordered a hamburger$9.00, fries $4.99 and I ordered a vegetable plate. His burger was decent. My plate was a loaded twice baked potato, green beans, slaw, 3 onion rings, and fried apples. I received a half of a baked potato with a small amount of cheese. It may of had butter mashed in with the potato. . Needless to say we were disappointed. We had heard so many good things about this restaurant. A little pricey for the quality of the food. The fried apples were good. read more

Heard this place had some good catfish and I was in town so tried it out. Service was top notch, very pleasant and friendly. The waitress took care of our big group well. The catfish was indeed some of the best I've had, fried to perfection. And all the sides were delicious as well. Good cookin in this establishment read more

I have eaten there many times over that last 65 years , and I have never had a bad meal there , always clean and service is always friendly . Great food and great service , never left there hungry ! read more

I only get here every few years. They have the best catfish and hush puppies around. They also have delicious fresh made tartar sauce. The fries are hand cut (not frozen) and the onion rings are large and cooked perfectly. The coleslaw is vinegar based with just the right amount of sweet and tart. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. The restaurant is large but not loud ( as many are these days). Looking forward to another visit soon! read more

Haven't been here in awhile, but this place as yet to disappoint us, the food and service is awesome. Nice family atmosphere and always busy. I suggest going early. We will definitely be back. read more

The all you can eat catfish is wonderful. We travel 2 hours just to eat there. The catfish is cooked to perfection. The sides that come with the fish is a hungry man paradise. You get everything that goes with a catfish dinner. It is so worth the trip. I highly recommend Boyette's. read more

The food is great southern style food with really good service. Highly recommended place. The ambiance is phenomenal.

Been to Boyette's a few times. The first time the food was great...not so much the last couple times. The servers have always been very nice,, however the hostess seems to have a perpetual bad day. read more

As always, the food and service were both excellent! Loved the sweet vinegar slaw and onion rings! Can't wait to go back!

Best catfish dinner around ! I love their homemade tarter sauce! Great onion rings and hush puppies! Only place I want to eat catfish ! They have good frog legs too! read more

In Reelfoot area with family for a memorial and visiting from out of town. We walked in after to get some food with 17 family members looking forward to some good southern food. After being stared down by everyone to include staff we asked if there was a table. You would think they would be excited about the money we were about to spend and tip but instead we get a deep sigh and told " not sure if I can get you a table" and before even looking around tells us "it's going to be a hour" no smile, no welcome, no apology just a please go away look. My kids new to this area noticed right away we were not welcome. So all this to say that if you are not from the area I'd recommend you find a more friendly and welcoming place. read more

The food is good.the service is very good always fast.the inside looks nice.but it has no lake view

Good country meal. Hamburger was big and lean, worth the price. Catfish was good. Place was crazy busy but there's not much around there

We absolutely love dining at Boyette's Dining Room. Their catfish is cooked to perfection, their beans and green beans are cooked just like Mama makes. They also come with onion rings that you can't find just anywhere. Their service is outstanding. Almost as soon as your order, your food comes out. You don't leave hungry for sure. When you leave, don't forget to pay cash or check if you don't want to pay the Ccard fee. And then if the weather is good, walk across the street to look at the eagles, hawks, owls, and snakes! We have to drive quite a bit but we do it because it's so special. read more

This is THE place for authentic southern food. Everything is fried and very greasy. Honestly, I am not a big fan of that type of cuisine but I made do. The grilled chicken came in a pretty large portion but it was pretty dry. The French fries were fried and very crispy. The dinner rolls reminded me of the grocery store sweet hawaiian rolls (a good thing). My favorite part was the hush puppies and green beans. Can't say I'll be back but if you are a fan of southern comfort food then I say this place is worth a stop! read more

The catfish is breaded very well! The country ham is a true country ham. I absolutely love the old style onion rings. The hush puppies are large and moist on the inside. The rolls and white beans are also very good! The old style lake vibe makes me remember my childhood! read more

The fried car fish is the best I've ever had. I've been coming here since I was a little girl and the food never disappoints! Only thing I can say is sometimes the wait time can be long but with good food that's expected. All 5 stars for me! read more

Best place to eat on Reelfoot Lake! Never had a bad experience and always leave full. I've been craving those catfish filets since I had them last. Owned by lovely people and never disappoints! read more

Wasn't my cup of tea. Fish was a little over cooked. The quantity of food was great, the quality, not so great.

In the area and always rely on Yelp for food ideas. If you like southern food, this is the place. Right by the lake. Catfish, shrimp and frog legs. Sides served in large bowls. Definitely will be back! read more

HIGHLY recommend this restaurant! The best catfish ever! The best waitresses, home town feel, and all the "fixin's". I even tried red-eye gravy for the first time. You will not be disappointed! Great food, great price, great people. God Bless the USA! read more

The wait staff was so wonderful. The decor is a very nice pub feel with low ceilings. It's nice and clean, and the people are so very nice and attentive. The food was very greasy and way to much bread/starch in one meal. We're still suffering from the oily fish since we're not used to this much fried food in one meal. Fries, sweet hush puppies, a huge bowl of slaw with sugar vinegar dressing, two cornmeal catfish filets, and onion rings. The lady next to us said the slaw was good to cut the grease of the fish. read more

Family get together with more than 20 people. Seated right away, orders taken and food on the table quickly. Catfish and country ham are the best! We ordered to go, and it was AMAZING FOOD and SERVICE!!! The Cole slaw was made differently than we are used to, but it was really good. The catfish was my all-time favorite. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered, seafood platter, green beans, white beans, fries and the onion rings were like mom use to make. Even though they were busy the entire time we were there, it is well worth waiting for. Being able to order and pick up was sweet. Very Very Good!!!! read more

Everyone knows this is the best restaurant in the Reelfoot area. i am not trying to bash them at all but am disappointed over the old fashioned onion rings not being made anymore. We were there last night and ordered the old fashioned onion rings and were told they are no longer available on weekends. What????? Some other customers came in after us and were told the same thing. This is not a good practice in my opinion. It worries me and disappoints not only me but a lot of others. I hope this is not a sign the place is in trouble but when a place as legendary and as good as this tries changing things such as this it makes people not want to drive long distances to spend their money. Just a thought maybe reconsider this change if you want to keep the customers happy read more

Went there today, February 17, 2023, and I have the most wonderful experience I've had in a long time. We went with our church group, totaling 64 seniors and had an incredible meal. Went here with my partner a week ago for his birthday. He ordered the hamburger, said it was really good. I had a nibble of it, yes it was good. I ordered the catfish steak based on other reviews posted here. Took one bite and had to spit it out--I'd never tried catfish and I'd never tried a fish steak but that experience sealed the deal for me. Onion rings were good like other reviews claimed. The slaw and white bean side dishes seemed canned/frozen (not fresh) and were not pleasant to eat. Our waitress was nice, and the wait time was about 30-40 minutes after sitting down. If you're a younger person and you've been to Home Town Buffet recently, it's the exact same vibe: food that's perfect for the elderly palate. read more

Great menu Great service Would be even better if they had a larger staff. The homemade tarter sauce is okay BUT they need to use Dill Relish instead of sweet relish. It compliments the fish even more.. . Rusty W. read more
