I like to think that when I get a chance to go to a Giant store I'm going to be in for some great…read moreservice. They are usually well organized and clean. Some good customer service. However, at this one, that was not the case. I stopped in to pick up a few items such as drinks and snacks for my stay. I made my way to where water would be located and found a basically empty shelf. There was no bottled water, not even the sparkling kind. I though, oh well, I will get it from the coolers up front. There must have been a shortage that day or something. I then went up and down the aisles to see if I could find some snacks. I was a little more successful on that part. Grabbed a few things, only enough to carry. I then made my way to the front of the store. I then went to the self checkout registers and had some problems there. But there was no associate around that could tell me what I was doing wrong. Each company has a bit of a different system. I ended up figuring it out, but not before earning some disgusted looks from the locals. Having not found what I wanted/needed I had to then make my way elsewhere to get everything else. It was not a one stop shop for me.

I shop at Giant because they have the best selection of food. I use the points I earned from buying…read moregroceries for gas. I actually had $1.80 off to use for gas. I wish they still had the fresh fish market instead of prepackaged foods. For people that are gluten free, there are more and more items available. I love the desserts and ice cream sections. It is so nice to see all the choices. I love the roll butter and use it all the time. One store told me you can't get it year round. Amazingly I am getting it year round at Giant. The electronic coupons that I can load onto my card take the place of clipping coupons. I still do both at times. Thank you for being there for us shoppers.

I've been here on both Saturdays and Sundays, and it appears that Sunday is the better day and you need to arrive early per every place like this. Hours of operation here are pretty narrow for a place like this. The visit I just made here on a Saturday was a borderline disaster. The vast majority of booths were not open on a Saturday, being one of the major problems. What was open was for the most part not worth the drive. Many booths here are in major need of cleanup, with many simply having piles of trash in space that could be used to better organize merchandise. There were a few interesting booths that had trading cards and Pop Vinyls being among the better options here. One or two booths had produce, with others being setup for that empty. It appears almost all of the deli/meat booths were gone. Only one or two booths were serving prepared food, but there is a restaurant on site and a small food trailer outside. There is an enclosed portion with no heating/cooling outside of the main building, that mostly had vacant tables and booths, and one dealer that appeared to mostly have random items. I truly don't know what to do with Renninger's Farmer's Market, but it's in need of pretty drastic changes, and I don't know in its current condition if it will be here in a few years. My friend and I actually felt bad for the vendors as it appeared very few were making sales. Overall, skip this and go to Hometown or Green Dragon. Yes, the drive will be longer, but there are much better options at them.

We recently moved into the area and were told we had to stop at Renninger's! We did and we won't be…read morestopping there again. First off, the place is in rough shape, including the parking lot. More importantly, it was freezing cold in the building making us want to leave within 5 minutes of arriving, but the worst part of the experience was the smell. I don't know if the exhaust fans weren't working that particular day, but we were there less than 10 minutes total and went home smelling like old grease so much so that even though we had both showered before going out for the day, we had to shower again before continuing on with our plans. There are so many nice flea/farmer's markets around... this would not be one I would recommend.
