They will keep charging you even after you cancel. I was billed for months for my girlfriend's…read morerecovery membership that she never used and was supposed to be canceled. They also overcharged me for personal training sessions I couldn't attend, and sold us a boxing membership only to get rid of the boxing coach almost immediately. When I asked to cancel, they still kept billing. Every time I talked to management I was told it would be handled, notes would be added, and corporate would follow up. None of that ever happened. Operations manager Tony Avila told me multiple times he would take care of it, but that did not happen. Honestly not sure what "operations manager" means here because nothing was managed and none of the problems were fixed. To make it worse, I later found out the sales staff who signed me up are no longer there because of shady practices, which lines up exactly with what happened to me. Most of the regular staff are nice, but management did nothing to fix the problem. Be very careful what you sign here and watch your bank statements. 1 star added bc i like most of the staff are dope.

Kru Roy truly cares about his students--he's not just there to teach techniques, but to push you to bring out your best every session. Unlike some gyms where coaches just clock in for a paycheck, Kru Roy goes above and beyond. He takes the time to correct your form, motivate you, and make sure you're learning the art of Muay Thai the right way. Classes are structured but also very welcoming for all levels, whether you're brand new or experienced. The energy in the gym is motivating, and the people are supportive, which makes training here something you actually look forward to. Kru doesn't let you slack either--he'll make sure you're getting a full workout in every time you step on the mats. I've had the privilege of training with Graciela Casillas on multiple occasions, and I can say this…read morewithout hesitation--she is the real deal in every sense of the word. There are accomplished martial artists... and then there are people like Graciela. Her level of skill, experience, and depth of knowledge is extraordinary, but what really sets her apart is who she is as a person. She is one of the most dedicated, generous, and genuinely giving instructors I've ever met. She doesn't just teach technique--she gives of herself. Every class, every interaction, you can feel how much she cares about her students and their growth. Spending time at CMA Martial Arts, you quickly realize this isn't just another school. There's a culture there. A feeling. It's disciplined, yes--but also deeply human. Respectful, supportive, and real. What impressed me most is her ability to connect across all levels. I've seen her work with adults--serious practitioners--and deliver high-level, no-nonsense training that commands respect. And in the same breath, she can turn around and work with children in a way that's engaging, uplifting, and full of heart. That balance is rare. She's not just teaching martial arts--she's shaping people. And as someone who has been in the martial arts world for a long time, I don't say this lightly: Graciela Casillas is one of the most accomplished and inspirational martial artists I've had the honor to train with. If you're looking for a place to train where the instruction is world-class, the culture is authentic, and the leadership truly cares--CMA Martial Arts is something special. I'm grateful for every opportunity I've had to learn from her, and I look forward to many more. -- Gregory Poretz
