I've always been a fan of fried rice meals
and when my friend suggested that I try this place, I didn't hesitate to check it out.
First off, the place. Location is good but the place is pretty cramped and the tables and chairs are not that comfortable. Tbh, the place could look so much better but it's not. So for this alone, I prefer to go for take-out.
Second, this is a meal-in-a-box place and to be fair, they do deliver but when you go there yourself and your order is for take-out, it's kinda upsetting to see that they don't have paper bags for your order. They will just give you a flimsy, transparent plastic with no handle to pack up your box/es (which really sucks if you have more than one order) and guess what? They don't give that to you unless you ask for it either. Wth?
But anyway, those inconveniences aside, their food is actually pretty good and they're not that expensive - usually at P85 or P105 per box depending on the size. Their servings are generous and their flavors are just superb. My faves are their Jambalaya Rice and Aligue Rice (altho the included half of a salted egg is always too bitin for me). I tried their Beef Salpicao once and found it a tad too salty and the beef was not that tender so I didn't bother trying any of their other beef-rice-meals again.
Overall, I love their food. Heck, if carbs are not so evil, I would eat here everyday. Lol. Or more like I would order a takeout meal from here everyday and eat in the comfort of my place. Indeed, this is a one-of-a-kind place to go for boxed-rice cravings. Will definitely miss this when I move. read more
