NEVER GO To BOX HILL HOSPITAL!!!!! It is the absolute worst hospital you can possibly go to. Negligent and incompetent beyond words. Staff fail to diagnose, treat, and stabilise patients, endless broken beds and medical equipment that isn't fixed, patients lying on stretches for days as they fail to admit them, radiologist who can't diagnose, requiring further investigations like an MRI at your expense, utterly incompetent nurses who can't even draw blood, let alone take a pulse, doctors who look as if they have just turned 15 and know absolutely nothing about rare diseases, let alone health and have barely any hands on experience, having to run after their senior doctors for advice, only to discover they are equally as incompetent as the last, specialists who fail to see the whole picture and treat aggressively, requiring longer hospital treatment as a result, endless funding cuts, absolutely disgusting food that would taste way better coming out of a dumpster dive than the slosh they serve that smells and tastes exactly like dog food and is totally inedible. Not even a visiting dog out the front of the hospital would touch the food it was that inedible!! Rude, impatient staff who take forever to assist, orderlies who walk at snails pace, super long waits for everything, aggro patients as a result of the distress of not being properly treated, total lack of support from those "special allied staff" the hospital brags about that take days to come to you and then only to be told they can't help you, constantly fixing broken lifts, paint flaking off the walls, toilets and bathrooms that aren't clean, rooms that aren't hygienically disinfected between each patient and ABSOLUTELY NO FREE PARKING in miles of the hospital, forcing people to wander through the dark and risk getting mugged. I wouldn't send anyone to that place and highly recommend you stay away. I'm sure I'm missing something. They never follow up on appointments in a timely fashion and their outpatient departments are despicable and utterly useless. NEVER go there, you will get better care at most other hospitals yet Eastern Health is utterly incompetent and totally inefficient in caring for their patients and then again, there is no pride in doing their job well, or work ethic and passing on the buck to another department for negligence is what they do best as no one cares and there is no accountability for the negligence they constantly cause patients. read more
