Here's a cool antique shop where the proceeds go to a good cause. Lots of great stuff here to browse and the prices looked very good. I didn't buy anything but only because I'm traveling. It's worth spending some time even if just to browse! read more

BowWow Meow Thrift And Consignment - Outside Looks inviting! - Thrift Stores Near Me - Casa Grande, Arizona

I've been a regular shopper at Bow Wow Meow Thrift Store, but lately it's frustrating to shop here. Prices go up almost every visit, which defeats the purpose of a thrift store. Items that used to be affordable are no longer a bargain--magazines have doubled from 50 cents to $1 each. It's also disappointing there's no senior discount, especially for those on fixed incomes. The customer service is harsh and rude if you ask for a discount. I don't think I'll go back. read more

They have updated their space and it looks really nice. Good prices and a really great cause

Stopped into BowWow Meow on a Monday afternoon and it's amazing! So many cool things to look through. The staff was friendly and the merchandise was reasonable. I'll shop for a good cause any day and I highly recommend this cute shop in the picturesque downtown Casa Grande! read more

Either way I got some great deals for my pets and I of course will back back again...maybe tomorrow. read more

*Posted this about a month ago but noticed it was removed (??) Not okay. And it's still crazy hot in the store* I do not understand why the building owner and the board have not provided us with a functioning air conditioner. Given that the goods we sell are donated and given that the labor is almost entirely free, I can't believe overhead costs are so high that the board and building owner are unable to find the funds necessary to purchase a functioning air conditioner. I would ask board members myself, however, they do not have open meetings - one must be invited by a member to attend, which is itself unethical on myriad levels. Keeping the temperature at 88 degrees is not "tolerable" as one board member declared. It's not tolerable for volunteers (who move around and well, work) or the customers we depend upon and trust me, I hear their surprise and disdain about temperatures within the store each day that I'm there. I have been volunteering for over a year at the store and I love the folks I work with and love what we provide to both the community and to the only no-kill shelter in the county. I do not want to quit volunteering there, however, there needs to be some changes. Open board meetings is an important start as it is quite important to hear from more than 1 or 2 of the many folks who volunteer. The board should also hear from the customers as well. A decently functioning air conditioner - to bring the store in line with OSHA standards and state law is of course another great place to start. Come on folks, do the right thing. read more

I absolutely loved the thrift store, but it was unbearably hot. Literally couldn't stand it for more than like 5-10 minutes. The staff were fantastic but seemed really overheated. Is this ethical/legal? Where is the building owner/manager in this? read more

Employees were rude. Greeted other patrons when they walked in but ignored me and my daughter. Overpriced for a thrift store more like an antique/vintage boutique however whoever is pricing items needs to check somewhere other than eBay for what it's worth. I did end up buying an item for my daughter but at checkout when we were rung up and ignored I decided I won't be returning. It's pretty sad when your patron tells you to have a good day and you are met with no words and a scowl. read more

I am visiting from Texas and helping my son decorate his new house that he just bought. I was at this store on March 28 at around 10:30 looking for furniture and wall art; I walked in and the two ladies at the counter took one quick look at me and continued their conversation. Soon after me about a minute later, a couple entered and they were greeted by both Ladies; then another woman came in and again a welcome was extended. It is sad to see that in this day and age and the economy in shambles people still discriminate against people and willing to lose business. My word of warning for the people of color, don't shop at this place unless you want to feel discriminated and ignored. For the store staff, we 'people of color' are educated and have money to spend we don't rely on credit cards as the majority of the population. read more
