If your ever in the area go to Bowman Vineyards. Mr. Bowman is very hospitable. He will show you around the property and tell you about growing up in the house that the tasting room is in. The wine is on the sweet side which is what I love. The strawberry and peach were my favorite. Like eating fresh fruit! We really enjoyed our visit! read more

Me and my sister in law found this place on Google while searching for a winery. While most wineries are closed on Sunday in South Carolina, we called and found out that this one was open! The drive there was super smooth. Once we got there, we were a little sketched out. A guy came out, and told us to park and come right in. After giving us a tour of his background, and how he came to start making wine, we started to feel right at ease. He makes 4 different kinds of wine. I'll start of by saying that all of them are delicious. While the wine is really good, the highlight of the day was for sure Mr. Bowman! He was so kind and welcoming! He has an amazing personality, and made for some great conversation. If you're looking to support small black business with an amazing product and person behind them, look no further! Out of the types of wine, my favorites were definitely the red, white, and plum! I'm usually not a fan of red, but this one was really good. Next time I'm in SC i'll definitely be back.
