This location and the location on milwaukee in niles are so unproffessional.river grove i went to visit since im in a league in lyons illinois. I wanted the experiences there . I asked the hispanic guy w glasses to give me my free games and discounted games w the leagues memebership. We get discounts and free practice games. And they asked me how many games u want i said ok i want to play 5 full games for me and a guest. Well they decided to split 5 games into two poeple and it came out to two full games and half of one. The lanes are so dark there you cant see the markers there to roll the ball measuring w the markers. I was embarrassed w my guest and we left after 2 in a half games we played. It was soppose to be 5 full games ea. They knew what theyre doing. I guess because im a guest visiting from anoylther registered location they treated me this way. The other niles one the bad experience was i ordered a pizza and beer combo the special they had and we finished the pitcher of beer and were on our 3rd game allready. And no pizza yet .i checked up on it twice and they told me it got burned. I dont know what is it but i guess i have to stick to my home location because guessts are not welcomed from other bowling locations...overall they sucked .ill never go to either one again. They sucker poeple and theyre unhappy at theyre jobs. There is no place like home. read more

I haven't been here since it was still Brunswick. The interior definitely got a nice facelift and was remodeled to look more modern. Rental shoes looked new, the facility was clean and staff was walking around and available to help. Our lane had a faulty sensor and kept messing up our scores, but it wasn't enough of a big deal to change lanes. I enjoyed the cosmic bowling and music. Plenty of parking outside. read more

EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL STAFF, As I approached security, I noticed the security lady giving confusing instructions to my friend, telling him to go inside, then outside the doors. When he didn't understand her unclear directions, she rolled her eyes in frustration. She then turned to another person and remarked, "Is this guy f*@king drunk or stupid?" When my other friend and I entered, the same lady was loudly yelling instructions and dramatically rolling her eyes, all with a very rude attitude. While the rest of the staff at this place is friendly and the experience is enjoyable, the attitude of the security lady at the front really soured our visit and makes us not want to return. read more

I recently attended a holiday party for our business and really had a great time. It was so nice to have our event somewhere else, where we didn't have to do anything. They had the tables decorated, with our name, and they were great with bringing out the food, making sure there was always enough. The only thing was it was a little confusing on booking the right number of people for us to have enough lanes. We had I believe about 50 people, but not all were bowling, so there are different prices. Many kids bowled, most parents just ate, and a few little kids had nothing. Now, that could actually be more our fault, and we may have to look at how we register people next year, but we definitely would love to come back. read more

Called asking about how much a lane would cost and was told the prices change everyday based on the traffic... basically a gimmick to get more money. When I asked if they had an estimate of how much money it would be, another worker told the worker I was on the phone with to "hang up the damn phone" and I felt very devalued as a customer. Was planning on going here with friends but I will never step foot in this establishment after being treated like this. read more

I have to say its sad to see very low stars. Why I say this is because people forget to give great energy! I booked an event with 4 friends and it was awesome! Ivan and his team literally showed great service and personality! I now come every Monday to bowl with family and friends cause you can't beat $20 unlimited bowling after 7pm! I also booked another event coming up and literally know it will be successful because Ivan and his team definitely shows positive energy and doesn't let any negativity get in the way of doing their job. P.S. Yes there are probably bad times everyone experiences but don't jump the line and write a bad review! Talk it out and give them a chance to make it better for you definitely will continue recommending this Location! read more

Hosted a holiday party here for my employees. Bowlero did a fantastic job with the accommodations. I wasn't expecting to meet the person who I talked to early in the week to plan the event, but Lexie (sp?) met me early on in the event to introduce herself, and was very pleasant to speak to, and was bright and cheerful. Her and Jose (I believe that was his name- a manager) checked on us multiple times, and was more than accommodating when we wanted to add more food than what we had pre ordered. Food was out when promised, and tasted great. They did have security there which does seem a bit intimidating, but obviously is there for a reason. I don't feel like the 2 star overall review for this place accurately represents Bowlero River Grove. Great experience overall. read more

The decor and equipment are janky. The first lane we were given wasn't working. Took 10 minutes to get help. They switched us to another lane and the divider was flipped over blocking the gutter. Took another 5 minutes for that. The employees were short and rude. This place is way over priced and not worth it at all. Bowling here was the worst part of my trip to Chicago. read more

Worst service ever! Things falling apart, have to tell them to clean tables off before you bowl. Don't honor advertised signs, says no we're changing them but it's still there and you've been open 4 hours already! If not for my league begging me to join them I wouldn't bowl here!! read more

The one star is for the bigger gentleman who really tried to give us a good customer experience. The rest of the staff is awful and they didn't acknowledge or greet us. We had technical issues the whole time and that's AFTER being moved to another lane! Screen malfunctioned, ball return not working properly, etc. After we bowled we were charged over $50 for 3 games(2 people). We asked to speak with the manager and he/she never came out to acknowledge our concerns. The cashier came back and adjusted the fees. We were charged for 2 games instead of 3. We won't be going back there again. read more

I actually ended up going here because of a Groupon I found. However, due to the restrictions of when we could use the Groupon, we scheduled a reservation through the website without it. The pictures on Groupon look nice and upscale but it's nothing further then your average old school bowling alley. The arcade are was cool, though small. We spent about 350 on two hours of play for 8 people. So it was absolutely overpriced, but we didn't know any better at the time. The food was decent, nothing spectacular and made kind of sloppy. The pizza wasn't even sliced all the way through. Initially our bumpers wouldn't go up so the manager had to switch our lanes which was a drag and a waste of time. However for the inconvenience they added another hour of playing time which I appreciated. I had a margarita and it was nice and strong. All in all it wasn't even close to being worth what we paid for. We could've had the same experience for less then 100. But we enjoyed ourselves in the end. read more

I can't not share my experience after paying almost $1000 to celebrate my son's college graduation. It started out good but it seems like the manager and the supposedly district manager that was working the bar to help out that night woke up on the wrong side of the bed they were rude and call people names in my party and also attempted to cut off the food and drinks which I paid for for 2 1/2 hours and they wanted to cut us off after two hours. We have patronized this bowling alley several times since January of this year and this was the first bad experience that we had so I had to share it. Rude and racist and I feel like if I wasn't brown I would've been treated better I don't recommend to host a party here spend your money where you appreciated. read more

Extremely crowded with no social distancing between lanes. Saw No one wearing masks nor wiping down high touch areas. Staff was not telling people to wear them either. This isn't the place to go to if you want to bowl while remaining safe during this pandemic but a great place if you want the germs and people in close contact. read more

How are there only 4 negative reviews to this place there were so many negative reviews last year? . 80+ league bowlers every week in my league. Still haven't gotten our league cards for free games and discounts. Week 13 3 months into the year, what a joke. Every year it keeps getting worse and worse. Just close this place down.
