They are trying to help me with an accident case. We are unsure of the outcome but they have been helpful.

In the end, Mr. Taite did not pay $ 2,300 for medical services provided to his client/ my patient. I am very disappointed. The patient now acknowledges that not only did my clinic not get paid, but a very kind LMT was left without being paid. When contacted, Mr. Tait's office told us that we had to collect from the patient directly, who is now unemployed. As I said, our clinic is very disappointed.

This engagement I had with Eric was not one I'd do again. Yes, I did get a good settlement, but…read morethat's because I deserved it. He put in a total of 7 1/2 hours of work (yes you read that correctly) and took over 20% of my settlement. Yes I know that's how much time he spent on it because it's on my receipt. This job was referred to me from a friend who I knew from 1-12th grade's dad who is also a lawyer. I asked him for a referral because I was getting screwed by this car insurance and he pointed me to him and said to tell him that he sent me to him. And he took over $2300 out of my settlement for 7 1/2 hours of work. This guy represents the greed that Bernie Sanders is trying to combat. This guy represents the 1% through and through. The whole process took an entire year and every time I tried contacting him he wasn't available and he never would return my calls (except for the rare few times). I was just wanting more information with what was going on and he could barely do that for me and he thinks he deserves to take as much as he did. Oh, and I almost forgot. They had actually billed me wrong the first time! They tried to charge me 30% when we agreed that he would be paid by the hour. So I had to let them know so they could fix it. And then when I came in to pick up my check I politely told the receptionist that yes, I did agree to pay this hourly pay rate but I felt that it was really unfair and then she just got really hostile and mean. I was just asking for some compassion from her and to have the courtesy to listen to my complaint. My Girlfriend was in the bathroom which is right by the receptionists desk and when she came out we left and when we got outside she commented on how mean spirited she was. All I could think about was how I couldn't believe she wouldn't even take the time of day to hear my complaint out with how much I was paying them for basically doing nothing. Listen to me, find yourself a better-hearted lawyer who won't take advantage of you. He's just as bad as the insurance company who didn't want to pay for my car when the accident was found to be 0% my fault.

David W. Schermer represented me in a complicated legal case that went back 13 years. Mr. Schermer…read morewas KIND, COURTEOUS, RESPECTFUL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, QUICK TO RESPOND, and he was AFFORDABLE. Another bonus was that he took a retainer and used it up before I had to give him more money. That was not the case with other attorneys I had encountered in my research. Many will require the retainer to continually be refilled for any work done weekly or bi-weekly. That can be very difficult if you don't have a ton of available funds and also sometimes your retainer might actually satisfy the entire matter. Mine would have if the other party had responded and didn't drag their feet, which continually added up charges to my bill as we were having to send communications multiple times. He helped me get the case settled outside of court, which would have ended up dragging out the situation much longer and increasing the legal fees tremendously. The only issue I had with anything was with myself and how I should have listened to my gut more when we were doing the negotiation with the retired judge. I came out with an amount that I was satisfied with but I know could have been better if I had not taken such big reductions at the beginning of the negotiation. This was not my lawyer's fault. I agreed to it when we discussed it even though I was doing math in my head thinking this is too much to drop. I am just saying this as advice for anyone going into a settlement. Don't disregard your thoughts, speak up. I will recommend David W. Schermer to anyone and everyone that needs an attorney.

She was clearly in contempt of court and David, instead of representing me, acted as judge and jury, made a settlement I didn't agree with, and then resigned as my attorney. The facts and the law were very clear and he was unwilling to fight for me. Lazy, tired, burned out, I don't know but he certainly did not represent me ethically.
