The knickers here are some of the most special knickers you'll find on the high street. And yes, they're a bit pricey for everyday wear, but they are absolutely the ticket for a little bit of bedroom action, and absolutely the best thing for feeling a million dollars. Fashion Friend absolutely swears by her big AP knickers (I think they're the 'Love' full brief £55 for a luscious pair of lacy shorties that make you feel like Marylin Monroe) for feeling sexy and confident, even under her work clothes. AP isn't about dressing as a saucy soldier and flashing your nylon gusset, it's about feeling like a woman, and being all the sexier for it. As well as an awesome range of naughty and nice pants, AP ramps up the raunch with a fantabulous range of stockings, including the Europa hold up in a variety of colours (bagsy blue!) for £18, and the positively heart-attack-inducing latex stockings for £75. The former, you can wear to the office or on a night out with the ladies. The latter, well if latex is your thing and you've got the pins, go for it. They actually manage to come off classy! An array of toys and accessories will dazzle you with crystal whips, and make you giggle with heart-shaped nipple tassels. There's something for everyone who wants a bit of fun in the bedroom, with a classy twist. The playsuits, as mentioned by Sarah-Jane, are a bit scary for a prude like myself. They're a confection of straps and nipple tassels, none of the Anne Summers euphemisms, they are unashamedly about shagging. And the bedroom's not just for love, it's also for sleep, so relax in the luxurious Desiree PJs (£245) or slip on a kimono (£450). You'll feel like a million dollars, especially if you use the amazing Maitresse body cream; smells divine and keeps your skin incredibly soft, because as much as AP is about dressing up all sexy-like, they know that there's one thing that's really hot: a woman who feels good in her own skin.

Yes, the underwear there may be a little bit more expensive than the stuff you'd get somewhere like Debenhams or Marks and Spencers, but the quality of it is excellent - and I'd much rather pay a little bit extra to ensure that I'm wearing a bra that fits me properly. Most importantly of all though, the underwear it sells is attractive, an attribute which is sorely missing from a lot of larger sized lingerie currently being sold by a lot of other high street retailers. Bravissimo's staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive - and even better, they don't appear to suffer from that awful "cold hands" syndrome that many bra fitters appear to have. Often, they can tell what bra size you are just by looking at you, and aren't afraid to use their eyes and hands rather than a tape measure to ensure that you get the best, and most comfortable fit for your shape. The shop also stocks a wide range of attractive and flattering swimwear, and shirts and dresses which promise not to gape in the chest area - a problem that many larger breasted ladies face when they're buying clothing on the high street. All in all, this is a real gem of a lingerie store. I only wish there were more like it!

Yes a room is basically a big box and yes if we're not going to attempt something a little more eloquent then they are indeed knickers but do you need to sound so petulant about it? Where you in the middle of your favourite programme when your mum switched off the TV and told you it was time to name your business?

Oi! Leave Knickerbox alone!…read more This shop bridges the gap between the over-the-top Ann Summers and the over-popular La Senza. It's funny, it's not even the knickers that are great in here, it's the nightwear! Much prettier and more detailed than what you see in most shops, not too risque either...well some of it isn't! It's much more of a boyfriend-friendly shop than Ann Summers and not as busy as La Senza so it's a good compromise to me. A fair bit more expensive than La Senza it's true but I tend to get bored of the same old stuff and Knickerbox is a bit different! Carry on!

So after going through some changes recently I decided to finally treat myself coming here. Stepping in I felt at home..awesome vintage lacy apparel lay at the front.. to the back were two rails of corsets. Behind the till sat Lynn the manageress and a colleague. It was quite late and I was straight to the point..I want a over bust corset please!! She asked if I had one before I shook my head..she immediately whipped out the tape measure and discussed my options. I tried on the only 23" corset on in the shop as a guide and before I knew it was choosing the colour and material etc. After leaving a deposit she instructed me too look at Urban Threads for my embroidery piece while the rest got made. Communications within those two weeks were consistent and I went for a fitting. Everything was perfect and she helped me decide on the lace .. Within another week and it was complete..the fit was amazing and quality was perfect.. on the way out I spotted a waspie which I had to also buy! If you are a corset virgin come Here! The average corset is £200 made to measure but it's steel boning and silk . Lynn is also so very helpful and even showed me how to lace myself up..if you are thinking of a corset come here as it's important to get a proper fitting one!

I've been in a couple of times, more…read morerecently with a friend to pick up her order and I must say the shop is stunning, it's full of beautiful custom made pieces, one off kimonos from the land of the rising sun itself, cute hats and accessories and the customers are very well put together! The staff are lovely, very knowledgeable when it comes to fashion. You can pop in for a browse and a chat, no pressure to buy which is nice. My friend owns quite a few custom made pieces from this boutique and each one fits like a glove. The corsets are top quality and beat any 'waist trainer' out there. And on top of that you have to spend your life wearing granny bras and over-the-shoulder-bolder-holders. Now that there's a Bravissimo in Liverpool, all that has changed. Say goodbye to your dull grey bosom buddies that could theoretically be used as hammocks. Bravissimo stocks girly, colourful bras that fit all sizes, even the sizes that you didn't dream were physically possible without surgical enhancement. Not only that, they also have a range of clothes and swimwear for the top-heavy lady. I'm not really bothered about the swimwear, as I don't like strap marks so my bikinis usually disappear as long as no one's looking, but the clothes are essential. Available in curvy, really curvy or super curvy, even the sizes don't make you think of yourself as overly big. A must have for all top heavy women, but good for 'normal' sizes too. If you haven't discovered Bravissimo yet, I pity your boyfriends.....

Their prices are normally higher than most standard stores but this is understandable due to their difference. Bravissimo is not your average shop and you will not find any shop similar nearby, so it is a great place to find what you're looking for.
