The lady proprietor, Frau Franziska Wittmann, speaks excellent English (for my benefit), so it makes it easier to ask her questions about the items you're interested in. She is very friendly, kind, nice, accommodating and helpful. She will take time for you to find something you're really interested in. She helped me decide on exactly what I wanted to purchase for my souvenir from our Bavarian trip (photo). What a great customer service!! Since it's a souvenir shop, there are myriad of items in this shop from cuckoo clocks, local woodcarving items, Christmas decorations, nutcrackers, local apparel, kitchen utensils and paraphernalia, keychains, magnets, etc. to meet everyone's appetite for shopping. I had called my credit card company prior to going to Europe to let them know so my card could be used with no trouble......well, someone at the credit card company failed me! My card was rejected! I could not reach the credit card company on my cell phone. The lovely woman at the shop called for me on the store phone and assisted me with all the information the credit card company needed! I felt terrible as I was holding up the line, but the women did not make me feel rushed. The worked with me until a solution was reached and I was able to make my purchase! I would recommend stopping by this shop if you are ever in Oberammergau!! Kathleen Purcell
