What I liked most about the dresses was not only their fit and fabric but I can just tell that they will be able to withstand the wear and tear that is inevitable for me when I spend all summer biking around Montreal. The space itself is cool and is host to a variety of events supporting local art and music. Big fan!

Apparently, this is a smaller location compared to their big warehouse in Lachine. Nevertheless, so impressive! If I lived in Montreal, would be checking out what they have regularly, as they cycle through whatever becomes available. With some nice mid-century items, what impressed at this EcoDépôt Montréal me was a real leather, reclining La-z-boy-type Love Seat, that was on sale at 50% off... making it $85 Canadian. Wow! Amazing! While one of the head rest had a small issue propping up the head rest vertically, (if that's your thing,) the biggest issue preventing it from flying out the door was its weight. Would have considered taking it back with me to New York, but alas prohibitive transportation costs (and potentially tariff issues) nixed the thought. EcoDépôt Montréal also has a website to check out what available with shipping. Why buy new stuff at Ikea when you can get some truly interesting well designed, used pieces here!

I was so excited to finally find both of the items I was looking for, especially when I found out the reasonably priced accessories were also on promo. I started wearing the hat every day in the coldest month of winter. So, when I dropped it in the metro station and couldn't find it again, I was really upset, especially because I knew I'd bought the last one in the store. But Cuir Mont Royal saved the day! I messaged them on Instagram, and, within an hour, they'd responded that they would do everything they could to get me the same hat. Just two days later, they reached out to tell me they'd found it for me, and that they were reserving it for whenever I could come into the store. They were so kind, helpful, and attentive! Truly the kind of customer service you only find in a local business like this one. On top of it all, their selection is unmatched. They have a vast but curated selection of high-quality, stylish products for all budgets. They even have a selection of unique gifts that celebrate the culture of Montréal. I tried on a lot of beautiful dresses and tops, and settled on three dresses, a tank top, and a sweater. I could have easily bought more, but my wallet limited that. The women in the store were amazing, courteous, and even great with my daughter. They brought me tea and suggestions based on what I had tried on already. They even had a dollhouse for my daughter to play with to keep her happily occupied while I tried on clothes. So, definitely three cheers to Poeme. I would never shop there even if I had all the money in the world to spend. I tried on 2 dresses and was told to hurry up because they had other clients to serve. I was ready to spend more than a 1000.00 but left after the service we got.
