I've tried them for dinner as well. This time I was seated in the cellar which was peaceful and cozy. Being here first thing when they open we were the only guests. The decorating is not posh at all, but nice. They have a decent menu and the main courses we had were really good - BUT small sized. The chicken skewer is two small, but tasty, skewers. To get full you probably need to start with starters and end it all with desserts. We had dessert - fried mars bar and cheesecake. The mars bar tastes like candy - really? But the batter might give a little taint. The cheese cake was ok but over all the desserts were disappointing. You know, OK but nothing you would have again. Their homepage says they have Creme Brulee, but it was not on the menu. I would love to give this place a five star rating - but sorry, no Hurricane drinks, no five star rating. Try the Long Island Ice Tea. A well made drink that should be consumed with a slow appreciation. It's well made and plenty enough to get you into any conversation. Stay away from the pulled pork. Normally found during lunch to be rushed and overlooked. There is ambition needed in order to eat from a tin foil bowl used to present the meat as if to give the illusion of the meat having been smoked-- It took the waterless out of my mouth! I could elaborate yet "dry" is enough. With the hopes that more attention goes to the quality; I ask that my thoughts may be read by the right eyes. I enjoy the music and the atmosphere. The crowd is becoming diverse enough to keep me socially interested and the service is excellent and with care. I don't doubt that it's a great place for drinks and hanging out even on cold nights. read more

Cajun food is one of my favourite cuisines. The flavours should take you on a trip to a hot summer evening in southern US, where a french speaking older woman laughs and stirs a large pot of spiced seafood. Bourbon St. only took me about half way on this trip but not because of the food. I ordered the jambalaya which was excellent. My rhubarb sour cocktail was also very well made. However the service was a bit slow (confusing as we were the only ones there) and while I really like the decor of the place i agree with others comments on how it looks a bit old and dirty. The thing is, all they need to do is a fresh coat of paint on a few things. Get it right and it would be the perfect hot date spot. read more

The food was great but the service this night was terrible. We had the flat iron steak, Louisiana half special and burgers, and they were all very good. Our reserved table wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. After that we had to wait even longer for the waiter to come and take our order. All in all, he might have came by our table thrice during our 2,5-hour dinner, and he made mistakes with our orders. Based on the food, I might have rated 4 or 5, but sadly the service was simply sub-par. read more
