I loved just about everything about La Tartine. The area where it resides, off Rua Augusta (a…read morestreet as legendary as Haight), is bustling with action. The most important thing to know is that it's good to get there early - say 8:00/8:30 - after which the waiting list for a table builds up. Provided you go straight there after watching a 6 p.m. movie, it's a great place to talk about the film over a bottle of wine while you wait for your food.
