Despite having many different options on their menu, La Junta was recommended to me for having some awesome burger and sandwich options. You can choose from the bacon burger (traditional gringo style) as well as more unique options such as the Blue Cheese Burger or the Lamb burger (topped with a greek-style yogurt salsa).
I recommend their Austral sandwich, of smoked salmon with cream cheese, a mayonnaise of capers and lettuce on top of a delicious whole wheat roll. They also have stone cooked pizzas, salads and sushi - this is classy bar food folks!
Decked out in Cristal branding, La Junta obviously serves Cristal, one of Chile's national beers, best. Separating themselves from the rest of the pubs in Lastarria, they have created a special beer "cellar" system just for their Cristal draft beer, where they hold it in stainless steal tanks maintaining the temperature at 4 degrees celsius - at all times. This system provides a flawless draft beer, every time, keeping its taste and aroma present until the first sip.
However, if you are not in the mood for beer I recommend coming early to take advantage of their awesome happy hour! They offer a big discount on almost all of their cocktails. A great place to come after work with your colleagues or to meet up with friends during the work week.
