Went to store & found approximately 200 rods & reels on display. Helter-skellter. Not separated by price or mfg. Many with no price tags. Asked for associate assistance. A very pleasant young woman arrived to help. Showed her the web page with the item, after checking turns out web site was wrong & the item was not available. This happened twice. Based on that & the completely unorganized display I left. The associate was wonderful the whole time.

Baseball Players and Parents!!!!! If you need anything baseball related go see Nate at the St. Pete…read moreDick's on Tyrone. He is very knowledgeable and willing to help. My son wanted a new bat after the holidays and so we went to Dick's. As soon as we walked in and began to look at the bats on display Nate greeted us and made us feel welcomed. He listened to my son who is only 10 and treated him with the same respect as he did me. After understanding what he wanted Nate shared with us it would have to be ordered. He did everything right there with us. He ordered the bat and discussed all the warranty options and how to handle if we had any issues. I was very impressed. My son was so happy when it arrived only a couple days later. Nate was professional and knowledgeable about so much more too. We have since been to the store a couple of times since and were welcomed and greeted just the same. Thank you Nate and DSG for supporting our athletes and families in a unique way!

This place is like a candy store. No need to go to five different stores, they can feel all your needs at this location. Something about giving a second life to a preloved item just feels so right. Play It Again Sports is a Mecca of preloved sporting gear/toys. My most cherished possession from Play It Again is my rollerblades. I use these blades almost daily. I like to think at some point they belonged to a 10 year old boy named Tommy. I'm really hopeful that Tommy got some fun mems with them, and even more than that I am grateful that Tommy's mom relinquished them to Play It Again at some point. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I like to call the store to inquire whether they have what I'm looking for and they are always so diligent and communicate so clearly and in great detail what it is they have that might meet my request. They are keen to sports, meaning they actually have a lot of knowledge that would be helpful if you have questions about gear specifics. The best part of shopping second hand (unless you're like me and genuinely believe in the sustainability factor) is obviously the deal. The prices cannot be beat..seriously. The blades I previously mentioned would have cost at least $45.00 from a box store or Amazon AND I would have had to wait up to a week to get them, because believe it or not rollerblades are not kept on shelves regularly. At Play It Again I spent $25 for 2 pairs of rollerblades, 1 kids size (Tommy's) and 1 regular adult women's size (I believe they probably belonged to a Meredith). Both blades got some serious sanitization and the bearings got a little cleaning and some lubricant, after that they were ready to roll. I cannot recommend this store enough. Especially if you're looking for something super specific and in a time crunch.

Love Love Love my new little Yeti roadie 8 cooler in Rescue Red!…read more I needed a new small cooler that was perfect for day trips out & about & the little "Yeti roadie 8 in Rescue Red" is just perfection. La vie en rose OuiOui. It holds up to 12 cans or just a few with some Sammy's/Foods. Perfect for a short trip to the beach also. I don't like to carry a lot & my other yeti is just too heavy for me to carry, so this one is perfect for trips by myself or with Sir Hubbers. It comes in tons of colors but I looked around & decided the Rescue Red was the one I needed to Rescue! Hahahaha. We usually stop in here for Sir Hubbers athletic socks and/or golf balls, somehow he loses a lot of both lol However, we usually find some fun casual t-shirts, caps, & fun camping gear here also OuiOui. We have a fun little gas Coleman gas stove we take camping. We usually get the little fuel containers here for it. There is also TONS of fishing gear, something for everyone, a complete sportsman's paradise. This store is always very nicely organized & clean. Service always comes with a smile :) That's what keeps us coming back! "Capture the Fun" at Academy! hahahah. Highest Recommendations:
