Then the number was manipulated by the AA independent tow company. We then got a call from an agent that said they completely understand and they will take care of it "asap" yet did not. They didn't call us, text us, no communication, leaving my boyfriend hopeless along with helpless. With that they showed no kindness in a time of need. Due to the environment that his car was parked in, it wouldn't have been a good decision to leave overnight. So I went on the hunt and searched for a tow company that's open 24 hours. I came across Maurice and Sons. Gave them a call and the first man I spoke to which was the owner, was so kind. He heard out my/his situation and gave us a time frame along with an approximate of cost. I went forward with it because I refused to leave it overnight where it was at (especially after talking to my boyfriend experience right before they came). They came on time 30 mins. The owner's son showed up and also showed kindness. This was more kindness within 1 hr than we received the entire day when this started which was at 7pm today. They communicated with him the entire way and en route. The price of a tow (per destination) was beyond reasonable as such late hour 12:52a too. Talk about coming in the clutch and within the nick of time too. You guys don't know how grateful I am and I know these words don't do half the justice, but truly thank you. For everything. The kindness, promptness, careful handling of tow. If anything else is ever needed you will be in front of my mind first. To those reading this review, PLEASE support your local businesses because they always do it better than commercial/corporate. They treat you like a person and not a cash cow. That to me means a lot - especially in this time. Maurice and Sons you are valued and cherished by these two customers. They snatched it up before my tow arrived. It was extremely difficult to get from their shop. It took almost 1 week and over $1000 just for a recovery and tow. First of all, the units are not sealed tight, allowing water, wind, bugs, and mildew to accumulate and ruin your items. Second of all the customer service is ATROCIOUS!!!! When I called and asked for them to get a copy of my contract sent to me (I am abroad), they refused and said I should have been happy they even answered the phone. Steve, the person of the storage unit also called me early one morning to yell at me and threaten to throw out all of my things if I didn't pay late fees (That I was never even told about). I was never updated about the status of my account previously, so I thought I had paid all of my fees on time. He demanded money from me, with not even allowing me to see my account statement to see what justified the fees. They just want your money and aren't even willing to tell you what you are paying for. Ridiculous.
