I cannot say enough about BC Florists. They have been an incredible business to work with. The quality is fantastic and the service is top notch. My family grew up here and used another florist for about 30+ years, ever since my parent's were in HS. When that flower shop was sold, the new owners did not keep up the quality. When dead roses were delivered to my mother, while dad was away on a business trip, he immediately stopped all business and told them to rip up his account which he had with them since the 1960's. Fortunately, BC Florists had opened and dad tried them. He used them for a Naval reunion that was being held in Las Vegas and was so impressed, he used them faithfully. From Mother's Day, to Birthdays. Valentine's to Christmas. Weddings and funerals, BC Florists have been a pleasure to work with. Their flowers are of wonderful quality and freshness. They have saved me, personally, when I forget that a special day is coming up and I forgot. Something that I just found out, they will even deliver flowers to the Veteran's cemetery, for families that are out of town. The flowers received for my father's service at the Veterans Cemetery were just stunning and much larger than I expected. The owner selected the perfect choice of flowers after my description of what my dad liked. I was informed by text that the flowers were delivered to the cemetery prior to the service which was great so I didn't have to wonder if they were there prior to arriving. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have lived in Boulder City my whole life and always try to shop local. When my mother, grandmother and I walked in today, we were treated like garbage, and like we were an inconvenience to even step foot inside. We said that we were inquiring about flowers for my wedding in October and the owner of the shop waved her hand in my face and said "We are appointment only." Then proceeded to hand me her business card and followed up with, "I am booked for a few months but you can email me." And then turned around. Mind you, there was not one other customer in the store when we came in. No smile, no greeting, just anger and negativity. We left and went down to Antique Rose Florist in Henderson only 15 minutes away and they were so warm and welcoming. They got our business and $5000 order paid in full today. I have lived in Boulder City for over 20 years and always try to shop local. This business has been here a long time, and at one time gave quality products. My Mother recently passed away and my out of town relatives ordered something special to be delivered for the holidays. Three days ago I was delivered a "centerpiece" that was "designer choice". Sending a picture to my cousins, she was extreme disappointed as it held what looked like tree branches (which were already browning) and 5 carnations and baby's breath . Through phone calls and emails, the owner sent over a trade, a basket of lilies and 5 roses, with more dying tree branches . Today is Saturday Christmas Eve and most of the lilies are dead and the tree branches are brown and brittle. If it lasts thru Christmas Day, I'd be amazed. The grocery store flowers, which is are only other option for local delivery is a better choice. It was amazing to me that with 2 weeks notice, right before Christmas, fresh flowers and greenery seem to be missing from the flower shop. Very disappointing. read more

I was extremely pleased with the arrangement I ordered the day of a funeral at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Boulder City. I had called the evening before, but they were already closed. I left a message because I knew I would forget to call first thing in the morning. They called me back first thing and were able to do a beautiful white and green arrangement with roses and lilies that was there for a funeral at 12noon. I ordered a beautiful get well bouquet today to be delivered to the Boulder City Hospital. I opted to use a florist in BC than to use one in Vegas, since it was closer to BCH. I spoke with the owner over the phone instead of ordering online, and she was extremely helpful and helped me select some flowers to substitute for those that weren't available or in season. Rude, mean treatment. Not my fault I didn't hear the "message" during my initial call. Whoever answered the phone, I obviously caught on the worst day of her life. She said "Well if you would have listened to the message you would have known who you were calling". Was hung up on the first time and rude treatment the second time I tried calling back. (This review is written from my home after confirming images on the Internet of the person I personally interacted with today, Sat., Oct. 9, 2021.) With it being a perfect, crisp Oct. morning, I drove into Boulder City's Historic District after 10 a.m. today to specifically go to Boulder City Florist, which sells flowers and gifts. I wanted to see the floral shop's items with the intent to buy, but to mainly support a small business during these challenging economic times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since my husband is a small business owner, and the stakeholders I support professionally are mainly small business owners throughout the state, it's personally important for me to "shop small" or purchase from a small business. I was by the shop's front door. The female small business owner, who was sitting outside, told me to push the front door open. I did so and went inside. She came inside as well. I asked if a lovely, tall floral stand was for sale and she said no. As I browsed around some more, I noticed the prices on price tags of various items to be reasonable to me. I did not see a price tag on an about 9-inch, cream-colored sphere of artificial flowers. I asked about the price and she said $100. Later, and after seeing all of the items for sale in the shop, I saw an attractive gold brass fireplace log holder that had a price tag and all. It was going to be the day's perfect purchase. When I told the owner my intent to purchase the item, she told me that the computer was down and I could not buy it. I cheerfully said I can pay for it with cash. She then told me the store was closed, and she moved to open the front door to have me leave. At my ripe age, I've experienced highs and lows in life. Today's experience in the store was not a high, and it made me reflect pensively on the infamous quote, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." The small business owner made me feel small and less of a person. read more
