As a bride who was planning from far away without ever visiting the space, I was worried about all the details, and Amber was always available via phone and text to answer my 50 million questions. For example... -- She let me mail some items to her and brought everything to the venue, and then shipped everything back to me too! -- She printed some wedding signs and also helped me find a projector screen very last minute and was extremely flexible with week-of and day-of changes, always being extremely positive about it all! -- The wedding timeline was changed VERY last minute and she accommodated all our wishes and asks -- She found our rental company and helped me think through options with the space arrangement and decor -- She set up everything EXACTLY how I imagined in our reception venue! -- She helped me work through issues with the reception venue to accommodate my guests according to covid guidelines (and calmed me down when I thought the reception was ruined!) -- The day of, she was a dream to work with. She was reading my mind during every moment of the reception and effortlessly made the wedding flow without any hiccups -- She has a natural ability to stay calm under pressure, handle crazy bridezillas (which I definitely was in some instances!), think of every small detail that would be important (yes you should buy plate chargers) and plan for every possible plan b and plan c. I will say that Melina does have a unique eye for creating a beautiful aesthetic wedding. In my opinion, I think our personalities did not mesh as well as I would like. It was a business relationship only. I was hoping for a better personal relationship in some way with my wedding planner as it may help more in the planning and communicating aspect. Business relationship only is also fine but I think due to the lack of understanding of certain wants and needs of our vision of the wedding it took more persuading. Some things may not been done before which can be a little scary or difficult but also lining up back up plans or things that need to happen when things do not go as planned is necessary. Nonetheless, the show went on and the wedding was enjoyable for most of the guests and it was a beautiful wedding filled with love. However, I think listening and understanding what our needs are can be improved and opening up the conversation for certain topics like, "How did you feel the wedding went?" "Are there areas of improvement on my side?" "What would you suggest to meet your vision and how can I make that happen for you?" These are the questions I wanted to hear more from our wedding planner. Also, if you plan your wedding at The Doyle with Starry Eyed Events, please do not have your family and loved ones stay at The Grand Hotel as most of our guests were complaining it was too loud and they were unable to sleep and they did not end up having everyone on the same floor. At the end of the day the wedding happened and I am grateful for everyone including Melina for not giving up and keeping to our budget during this crazy time after the pandemic with so much change. Things started off well with Katie, but I was stood up by her around four times without communication about whether she was running late or had taken another couple. I eventually requested to work with someone else because I wanted to feel like my wedding was being taken seriously. I was then assigned to Charlotte, who was absolutely wonderful! She was helpful, communicative, and made me feel heard. Unfortunately, I later received an email saying I had another wedding planner. I'm assuming Charlotte was no longer there, but it was frustrating having to start over again. Then I was assigned Jazlynn. I explained my vision and expectations multiple times, just as I had with the previous planners. Unfortunately, I did not feel supported. It was difficult to reach her, and at one point it took about a week to receive a response. I eventually had to go to the chapel myself to get help from another wedding planner. I also asked about having pictures taken of my dad's reaction when I got out of the limo. I was told that doing a first look with my dad would cost $400. I understand additional services cost money, but I was disappointed that I wasn't given any other options or alternatives. If you are getting married within a month, this may work for you. But if you are planning your wedding five months or more in advance, I would personally recommend looking elsewhere based on my experience. The wedding day itself was also disappointing. The limo was late picking me up. When I arrived at the chapel, I was rushed because they were "on a time crunch." I had already communicated exactly how I wanted the seating arranged and had discussed it with the coordinators and all three wedding planners. It was even written down. Yet when I walked down the aisle, what I had requested was not followed. That was one of the most upsetting parts because I felt like I had spent months explaining my vision and expectations, only for them not to matter when the actual day came. I also received information about expected tips of $35+ for the coordinator and photographer and $50+ for the minister, which was difficult to understand given my overall experience. I reached out to the manager by email last week regarding my concerns and, as of today, I still have not received a response. I understand that weddings can be hectic and that things don't always go perfectly. However, I expected better communication, organization, and attention to the details I repeatedly discussed. Charlotte was wonderful, and I truly appreciate the help she gave me. Unfortunately, the overall planning experience and the way things were handled on my wedding day left me very disappointed.

He embodied everything Elvis and throughout the whole ceremony, we both had the biggest smiles on our faces. The ceremony flowed really well - he's definitely done it a number of times to perfect his craft! He ended up singing four songs for us and they were all great (he picks his song by feeling the moment!). On top of being charming, entertaining, funny, and full of energy, our moms could not stop raving about all the great advice he shared for us about married life during the ceremony. Honestly, he would do a fantastic ceremony just as himself, not just as Elvis, that's how great his marriage advice was. My feedback is there is a rehearsal for a reason. Pastor Pete took the moments that should have been shared between a MOH and bride, a little sister watching her big sister get married, and stepped into those moments himself. Whether it was handing off the bouquet to the bride, standing INFRONT of the MOH as the bride went down the aisle putting his hand in front of me as if I didn't know where to go and what to do. Taking the rings for himself and instructing the MOH when to fluff the dress. I am absolutely baffled, still to this day. I would have thought it was coming from a good place until he told me "you can't go yet." And I replied "I know." And he very snarky said back "thank you". His actual officiating the wedding was good. But then he tried to tell the uncle walking the bride down the aisle what to say word for word when he got to the alter to present the bride, and the uncle wanted to say on behalf of Jason (the brides dead dad) and pastor Pete argued saying he couldn't say that, he needed to say on behalf of the family. I would recommend anyone working with Pator Pete should have a discussion with him before that extra cues are not necessary. You may think it's not necessary but as someone who watched her sister live through her dream wedding, all I can think about it how Pastor Pete ruined the ceremony for me.
