We had our wedding reception at Forge Social House last week and overall it was a really cool and beautiful space and I don't have any regrets having it there. Larry is the kind of person that doesn't give you any BS, he tells you how it is and you have to pay attention to what his rules are. We had 92 people for our final head count for the wedding but I think only around 85 ended up showing up. We fit three 6' rounds, three 5' rounds, and two long rectangular tables into the main dining area. We had to have one rectangular table outside in the courtyard which was great for dancing time but not so great for speeches. I'd say if you can't fit all your guests in the main room then move your wedding elsewhere. It is really nice that they open up the doors when the weather's nice (which it was) but the courtyard guests still did feel a bit isolated. They allow 2 hours for set up which ended up being plenty, and 4 hours of reception time (you can buy additional hours). Be aware that if your reception is from, say, 6-10pm you must have everyone out of the venue at 10pm sharp as he will lock the doors at that time. Larry was accommodating in letting us store some of our desserts the day before and let us leave some of our decor in the courtyard overnight, but everything inside must be cleaned up before you leave. For the menu we decided against their entree options and instead went with sliders, mac and cheese, and finger food to keep it fun and easy. Since this family owns the Dillinger as well you know their food is good. They don't do wedding tastings so be aware of that. Food is served buffet style. They provide table cloth, napkins, and chairs but they only have 50 something "nice" chairs and the rest are folding black chairs. These are all things Larry explained early on and we agreed to but as time went on it did feel kind of sad to have some guests in folding chairs and some not. The only complaint I have about our experience was with the bar. We were originally interested in buying an open bar package but Larry insisted that it was a rip off and that we should just pay as we go and we can set a limit but we would never drink as much alcohol as it would cost to buy the package. We did. He even said he could give us the option to pay whichever was less money but we didn't sign anything stating that so it didn't hold up the night of. Whatever you decide to do, get it in writing and make sure everyone understands what's going on, especially the person paying the tab and your wedding coordinator so they can deal with any misunderstandings and not have to involve the bride and groom. Understand the cost of whatever alcohol you expect your guests to drink. We had asked Larry to stock Prosecco which he agreed to do but the night of, the bartender said it wasn't on the list and she'd have to charge $12 a glass for it. Forge is a beautiful venue and we had a great time there. Just know that Larry can sometimes be blunt or set in his ways and you have to work around that. I highly recommend getting a wedding coordinator to make sure everything is set up the way you want it. Larry is not in charge of getting all your details right. He is providing a space. I would definitely have another event at Forge, but I would be better prepared the next time. read more

We had a family wedding here. Great location and gorgeous venue to make all wedding dreams come true. Beautiful! Everything our bride was looking for. All wedding planning involving the owner, Larry and The Forge Social House prior to the wedding was easy and exciting. Larry had all our plans and aware of all the details and he assured our bride and the families all dreams would be met down to the smallest detail... everything was dreamy until the day before the big day. The day before the wedding Larry gave our bride a terrible time. The bride requested no black linens! There were black linens! The linen situation was not fixed! Still charged for the linens. NO TABLE FOR THE CAKE! Which was included in our planning. A seating chart was given in advance. Tables were set all wrong, seating arrangements all over the place. Larry was very rude to our bride and brushed her off, not fixing his mistakes. Which! Were easy fixes!!!! Larry totally disregarded all important details... seating is a big deal Larry, so is a cake table and linens. The venue has a particular place in the venue to put a cake table... well he did not use it for this wedding. A few other small details were missed. The food was unremarkable, not the most delicious food which was promised. Watery mac N cheese! During the wedding celebrations Larry thought it appropriate to stroll around the venue, including the dance floor staring at everyone. Very, very strange and made a few people uncomfortable. Not sure what was up with that. If getting married here make sure that you have a wedding planner or a day-of planner. The brides day-of planner put the tables and chairs where they were supposed to be & sorted out the cake table. Get your own linens! Also, ask Larry to keep out of sight until the wedding is over, he is not a guest. Also!!! Only 2 solo bathrooms...loo lines are never fun when the dance floor is hopping! read more

This place was the perfect reception venue for our intimate wedding. We wanted something rustic and not the stereotypical Vegas wedding... and living in Vegas, it was somewhat difficult to find one with the right price. My husband asked his parents if they knew people that knew places with a rustic setting. One of their acquaintances recommended we looked into Forge Social House which was fairly new. Once we saw the pictures online, we contacted Larry to visit the site. He was very kind, and informative with all the things they provided: food, chairs, tables, napkins, mist machine, and lighting. They have different bar packages and appetizer packages also if you wanted to add these. The only thing they don't provide are desserts and cake, as well as DJ (and equipments, but they have regular surround system music just like any restaurants). I do wish we had time to enjoy our food a bit more but since we had to greet our guests and follow our evening itinerary we weren't able to truly savor the food we had. [As a side note during wedding planning: Remember, if you do verbally agree with your vendors on certain things or prices, make sure it also state this on your contract.] Anyway, the number of people present during our wedding were a total of about 68ppl. This place can probably fit up to 85ppl comfortably. They do only have 1 stall bathroom for each gender which is the downside but the good out-weighed the bad. What a cool space! We came here for a wedding and we were really impressed with Boulder city and this hidden gem of a venue. I am not sure if they are just an event venue or if they offer other services but it was a really neat space to hold a reception. They have a super modern indoor and outdoor space. The reception I attended had the dance floor outside and they have huge glass sliding doors that opened up to bring the outdoors in. read more

The Forge social House in Boulder City is by far a prime venue for any event you have in mind. The owner, Larry, is a great guy and very accommodating. Recently celebrated a sweet friends birthday and it was a hit! The motif is rustic, sort of barn Chic with an industrial twist to it. It has a balcony over looking a courtyard. DJ they are affiliated with kept the party popping and Lauren at the bar poured exceptional drinks! I thought the drive from Henderson was a deterring factor but it was completely worth the it 100%. read more

We got married at the Forge in November and it was a beautiful venue. We had about 80 guests and the space was perfect. The ceremony was outside in the park across the street and Larry, the owner, set up chairs facing the mountains. It was the perfect backdrop. Inside, we had a reception with appetizers buffet style and an open bar. Everyone said the food was great. I never got to eat any being the busy bride:) The Forge takes care of everything including the food, the drink, and the linens. You just need to bring in your cake and the flowers. My favorite thing about the venue is that there is an inside and outside with lots of windows and light coming in. It feels open and airy not like a closed banquet room. It was also very affordable when compared to other venues in Henderson and Las Vegas. And it has easy parking right outside. I highly recommend the Forge for weddings and events. It has a sophisticated style but set in the quaint backdrop of the small town of Boulder City. A total gem. read more

If you would like a rude "host", and to be treated like trash at a wedding! Go see Larry for all of your booking needs! If your needs are to pay for a venue, and have your family treated rudely. The wedding was to start at 6, we were to set up at 5, and he rudely cracked the door, said, they weren't ready, and locked us out for over an hour, and we had a baby, and need of the restroom! Unprofessional, and lacking in the ability to accommodate paying guests. Larry needs an attitude adjustment. The venue is way too beautiful to be ruined by his lack of care! The bartender, and serving staff were amazing! Regardless of Larry's complete apathy! He made it clear he did not want anything to do with the event, besides the paycheck, and possible bar tab. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere, unless you enjoy a rude host. read more

Booked out 10 year anniversary ceremony and dinner three days before the event. The Owner Larry was attentive & informative during the three days we had to plan the menu I wanted. He said whatever we'd like to be served, he could make it happen, and that we just needed to give the head count a day or two prior to the event. I decided, he came up with a quote and a contract, I signed it, scanned it back over to him, we spoke on the phone to make my payments. Easy Peasy. I booked the location sight unseen. However they have a cool 360 tour on their website, and it looked amazing. We were not disappointed. We arrived an hour and a half before our event was to start. We walked into table and chairs set up perfectly, and with the linen colors of our choice. We didnt bring very many items to decorate, 10 centerpieces, tealight candles, our dessert table and two banners to be hung. SIDE NOTE: They do not allow tape on their walls as it may ruin the stucco/texturing that they have. It was not an issue for us as we just hung one fabric banner/bunting onto the metal beams they have (cool artsy industrial beams), and we tied the other to the metal pole mounts they have. The metal poles are awesome! They are adjustable and you can move/slide them around to fit on most any spaces on their wall. Our buffet dinner was amazing. Food was hot and delicious, our water glasses were kept filled all night and our dishes were cleared in a timely manner. Their audio/video system was perfectly crisp, and everyone was able to hear the ceremony. They play their own soft background music, but you are welcomed to use your own. We used our wedding coordinators music for an hour or so, but I didnt even end up using my playlist after that, we went right back to the music they have on rotation. The staff and the Owner were helpful and gracious throughout the night. Pretty decor, ample parking, CLEAN facility, and a modern and fresh ambiance. There is an outdoor area with lighting, plus an outdoor upstairs patio. They're located next to the police station which gives you a feeling of being safe. Well, my guests did. Your party may feel intimidated if they're a bit wild, however we were told they never bother. We plan to hopefully come here on their dinner nights they have every weekend or so, depending on when the venue is booked. This place is definitely worth checking out for any event! read more

Space, Food, Drink are absolutely awesome. I was recently on an orientation tour of water resources though several venues in Arizona, California and Nevada with a group of about 30. The tour hosts scheduled a lunch for us at the Forge Social House prior to our inspection of the Lake Mead and Hoover Dam facilities. The dining room and prepared buffet was ready to go upon our arrival with all the places set inside on large banquet tables. The building had a wonderful iron forged decorative charm and large custom architectural sliders opened onto an attractive outdoor venue. The food was excellent in all respects. Ours was served buffet style, included everything and three desert items. Some of the food choices were quite unique and very well prepared. All these I am sure can be custom tailored to your group. Service staff was excellent and very attentive, and the facility was kept very clean. If you get a chance to visit the Forge Social House for a special event or one of their special invite dinners, GO! If you have a special event, BOOK IT! I am sure you and your guests will have a wonderful time at this very special place. read more

The Forge is the PERFECT venue for any party! The place is beautiful decorated, the courtyard and balcony just top it off! We planned a huge surprise birthday party with almost 60 people and Larry (the owner) made sure we had everything we needed to make the night perfect! We provided Photos on a thumb drive and Larry had the slideshow projected on one wall. The tables inside and outside were covered in linens (he has so many colors to choose from)! The bar was fully stocked and the bartender was amazing! If I could give more stars than 5 ...I absolutely would do so!! The entire night everyone complemented on how great the venue was! We held a surprise birthday party for my mom here and it went perfectly, thanks to Forge Social House and their staff. They were so accommodating and pleasant to work with, especially considering we had a pretty specific layout in mind for our own displays and decor. They were happy to move what tables/displays that could be moved, around, so that our vision could come to life. Larry is flexible and willing to do most anything he can to make sure your event is perfect. We were able to build a custom menu for the buffet, and the bar is fully stocked with all the good stuff!
