Their almond croissants are light and crispy with a filling that is like a butter almond paste. I had the chocolate eclair today and that was excellent! The box they put them in is beautiful and perfect for giving as a gift! Their "couques" with chocolate or raisins are great, too! Since finding them, I've been going daily to buy an after dinner treat. My only disappointments are that they are sometimes sold out of things early in the day (so best to place a request for it the day before) and that they're closed on Mondays!

This place is situated right next to the Wellington Museum, across the street from the church…read more It's a small(ish) sandwich/tea room, with a decent menu and at great prices! The sweets are very tasty, their drinks also. The only thing is that, depending on the time you get there, you might not be able to order from the menu (which is a shame, because with all the delicious foods presented on them and the fact that the menus are always available on each table, one is generally tempted to try things out, but may end up having their wishes for an item disappointed). In any case, it's a nice, quiet place to have a drink and a snack with friends/family when out and about in downtown Waterloo. Just a side note, however: this place can get really crowded.
