It's located where John Lewis used to be, right underneath the Radio City tower, impossible to miss. They used to concentrate on selling DIY and hardware, however now they sell everything under one roof, from linen curtains to carpets to the traditional DIY. The store has been recently refurbished, and now has a cafe instore which even sells the traditional scouse! Everything is a reasonable price, considering it is an independent store and in my opinion is on track to compete with the big names in the business.

Rapid is now right in the heart of the city centre with many entrances you can't fail to walk past. The massive improvement is that the building is now fully refurbished to give customers an even better, brighter shopping experience all under one roof! It is still going to expand further in the not so distant future which is also great news. Additionally, there is a fantastic Signature Cafe in store serving hot and cold wholesome Liverpool favourites, including scouse (one of my favourites)! As a whole, Rapid is great value for money and has a huge range of quality goods. You won't be disappointed.

Flags and fairy lights and mini pirate hangers, teddies and baby mobiles for the crib will make you want to buy it all up in bulk for your little 'un. Moving house again this year has meant that I have been on the hunt for various household items and this has led me to some interesting stores and this particular establishment will live long in the memory. The first thing to say is that the sign for the store was falling apart and it did not give me high hopes of what I may find inside. It turned out that my negativity was justified as the furniture was poor quality and the shop was generally in a state of disarray. On the whole I can think of many places you should visit before resorting to this establishment.

As you walk through the front doors you're confronted with a wall of mirrors, it's a little 'creepy fairground' style with old dusty teddies adorning dressers and sitting on chairs. There seems to be lots of rubbish here, but if you look closely there are some realy bargains hidden away behind looming chests of drawers and quite a few cheap items around. They deliver locally; 1 item of furniture £10, 2; £15 and a three piece suite can be brought to your door for £20. The seemingly floating chairs which hang all over the inside of the church make me feel like I'm at a ceiling tea party. Also there are stacks of books and old videos to laugh through if the surroundings don't weird you out too much.

The downstairs of this fabulous establishment is full of the most adorable trinkets, gifts, jewellery, stationery, homewares and toiletries - almost too much to take in and very dangerous if one is feeling in a spending mood. Upstairs there is an interesting collection of vintage furniture and bric-a-brac but it is the cornucopia of delectable gifts and bibelots downstairs that has captured my heart. The kind of stuff you wouldn't buy for yourself but might appreciate as a gift, even if it is slightly tacky. They also have vintage stuff available upstairs and fun cards, it's slightly overpriced for what it is really but worth a look if you have a bit of time on your hands.
