There aren't too many places nearby that offer quality and quantity at the same scale. Plus, there is lots of variety in terms of design and texture of material. More often than not, you'll probably find a curtain that matches your wallpaper or a flowery duvet to go with your carpet that you've longed for! If not, helpful staff may be able to provide other suggestions and alternatives. If anything negative, I do find the lighting of the shop quite dull and the area a bit crammed. Other than that, everything else is fine including the clear labels and pricing on each item. Make Linen Warehouse a handy shop to bare in mind.

You'll find bed sheets in all sizes for both adults and kids, in a variety of prints at affordable prices. I saw some character sheets for kids like Peppa pig and Thomas the Tank Engine. They also sell curtains, towels, cushion covers, etc. Everything seems to be discounted regularly, so if you need some new sheets and can't afford expensive ones, this is a great place to find something nice for cheap. But you won't find the extremely cheap sheets that you can find in some of the pound/discount type stores. These are actually fairly nice items. I'll probably be going back next time I need some new sheets or towels.

Based on Wilderspool Causeway with its own parking, its worth stopping off if you're looking for something that's going to last. They tend to stock different wood furniture from oak to pine, and some others, as well as different styles and pieces from bedroom to living room, to dining room. We've had lots from there and the quality is excellent, worth the price as pieces last for years. They also do some giftware and artwork so you can always pick up something nice and unusual to decorate the house with. The staff are nice and friendly and know the products so can help with any questions or enquiries you might have.

There is a subtle and classic look about the furniture and homeware on sale here with selections of whitewashed wooden pieces on offer and grand mirrors draped in fabric. I love the little details from the decorative storage boxes and wire mannequins laced with flowers to the cute baby gifts which are scattered across the delicate furniture. Flags and fairy lights and mini pirate hangers, teddies and baby mobiles for the crib will make you want to buy it all up in bulk for your little 'un. Selling items to make a house a home, you'll find some gorgeous treasures in Lounge Boutique to decorate your pad with.

The downstairs of this fabulous establishment is full of the most adorable trinkets, gifts, jewellery, stationery, homewares and toiletries - almost too much to take in and very dangerous if one is feeling in a spending mood. I actually ended up buying *myself* a gift instead of the person I was buying the card for! Upstairs there is an interesting collection of vintage furniture and bric-a-brac but it is the cornucopia of delectable gifts and bibelots downstairs that has captured my heart. The gorgeous broaches, scarves and handbags, knitted baby clothing, mugs, keyrings, dinner mats and coasters (I bought myself a rather fabulous 'Liverpool's Most Iconic Sights' coaster set - photo below!), fridge magnets and ornaments. I was extremely tempted by the 'retro bunny with a baby's face' lamp but managed to restrain myself. The best thing about Larks is that you don't actually NEED stuff from there...you just WANT it. Because having a cubic zirconia broach shaped like the Eiffel Tower makes you feel happy doesn't it? And that's near enough to needing for me.

It's the one with the garden world and cafe. I went into the store to purchase two very large and heavy plant containers. Being by myself I was unable to carry these. Despite the store being busy , two very helpful staff members came to not only help me, but bring the containers to the till area and kindly brought them and lifted them in my car. All the time they were doing this, they were also helping out other staff members and customers. They were polite, helpful and a credit to their employers. I feel that such positive and outstanding employees really do deserve some recognition , so much so that I spoke to the store manager, to praise the employees, she was aware of how great these two staff members were already and also created a nice atmosphere in the shop herself. The staff members I later learnt were called Greg and Jack L . Keep up the positivity, it's really refreshing. And thank you .

Anyway, how the Buddha does Home and Bargain function as an actual profit-churning business? Everything here is so cheap you end up scraping the price tags with your nail to see if some joker has tippexed over the pound signs. Nowhere else in the city can you buy a full range of fatty snacks and still get change from a quid. These aren't fake brands either. No 'Snikkers' or 'Cwavurs' or 'Ghalaxy Bars' here. No my friend, it's all the real deal. Now fill your pockets and scarper before they realise they've priced everything wrong. The only things that bring more joy than the low prices are of course the conveyor belts leading to the till. Each one is about the length of a 15cm ruler snapped in half. The woman on the till can touch the far end of it with her elbow. Nevertheless, you will still place your box of detergent on the belt and together you will both watch it trundle the few inches into her open hand. It's one of life's small pleasures.
