Apples were so good, $13 for a full plastic bag. There were some home made baked goods, iced cider and jams for sale in a small but quaint shack . Pretty pond and willow tree in the center of orchard - next time we will pack a little bread and cheese and have lunch in this idyllic setting. My favorite chocolates are their dark chocolate caramel barrels, the chocolate outer layer is excellent quality and very thin so that there is a lot of caramel filling. Their store is pretty large, they sell special chocolate creations for all occasions, they make custom cakes by order only and they also sell maltitol (sugar free) chocolates, which are also very good. In the summer Heyez also makes several chocolate ice cream creations. I've tried also of chocolate shops in Montreal but Heyez remains my favorite.

It's very expensive to get it so they prefer to put the money elsewhere, which is ok! You can also find sweet and savoury pies along with prepared homemade meals for you to simply put in the oven. I ordered the large poutine and shared it with my husband. It was more then enough for a pre-leaf-pick-up snack for two! The fries are real fried potatoes. The sauce is really good and comforting! The cheese...well fresh of the day since it's still squeaks in my mouth! Fatty, salty, decadent!!! Since it's in a depanneur of a gaz station, you can fill up and get some extra snacks as well...;)

So many tasty cheeses from here, France, Italy and so on... They sell fresh cheese curds that they get every morning from Lac Mégantic. It squeaks in your mouth and taste soooooo good! The prices are really good and the service is all smiles :) You can even try a cheese before buying it. There's a few tables and chairs inside so that you can grab a bite to eat. You can also enjoy some pastries and some viennoiseries. Don't be fooled by how it looks from the outside. The most important for me, the tomatoes, the heirloom tomatoes are outstanding, top quality, many many varieties can be purchased there including big baskets of San Marzano and Roma tomatoes for canning at very reasonable prices. I also obtained okra of great quality you would rarely find in the supermarkets. The entire place is well organized. There is enough parking behind the shop. The kids have many options to stay active, while the parents procure their veggies: little farm with alpacas and bunnies, playground with bouncy surface. Don't miss the sweet potato and maple doughnuts, they are simply delicious. With the fall taking over I will be definitely back for some apples and pumpkin picking.
