Me, my wife and grandchild went into Hack's liquor store on Christmas Eve and purchased Secret…read moreSanta bottles for gifts that totaled approximately $60.00 that was calculated from the prices that were on the top of the bottles. However, prior to paying for the items, my 2-year-old grandson accidently knocked a bottle off the shelf. We alerted the cashier of the issue so no one would step on the glass or spilled alcohol. I was never given a receipt for the purchase, and went home to check with our bank to confirm the amount, and saw that an additional $30.00 was added to the total. We were not given the courtesy of the cashier telling us he was going to charge us for the broken bottle which we assumed as no receipt was offered. I have been a patron of Hacks Liquor store since it opened and very disappointed in the underhanded way they handled it. I will never again give them our business as well as my many friends and relatives who utilize this establishment. I attempted to call the store with their telephone # listed on Google (908-546-1131), which was out of service as of 12/24/25.
