Terrible customer service. If there is something wrong with your wine, don't expect the staff will do anything about it.
Two weeks ago I bought a bottle of white wine. I wanted something on the adventurous side. After opening it at home it tasted and smelled of apple vinegar: not a pleasant surprise in a wine. I took the bottle back just to hear that this is normal in this type of wine (!) when in the reality the wine was absolutely non drinkable. No one offered to exchange the wine or refund the money. It turned out I just spent 26 pounds for something which would cost 2 pounds in Tesco and definitely wouldn't even stand in the wine section..
Super disappointed.
Bottle Apostle is a beautiful store but they lack any idea of Customer focus.
They are short sighted and disgustingly ignorant of Customer satisfaction. Even if you are a loyal Customer with them the moment there is a complaint they will treat you like you walked into the store for the first time.
I am a frequent in other large and small UK wine retailers and this is the first time I have been in a situation in which a store pretending to be an upscale retailer would refuse to replace or refund an obviously flawed wine which is highly recommended just a few hours earlier.
No morals or sense or responsibility for the wines they carry whatsoever.
Stay well away and opt for Odd Bins, Majestic Wines, Naked Wines or Wines Naturally where such a situation would be unthinkable.
Hope this review is useful and ensures you will not make the same mistake given the huge choice of other much higher quality retailers which will take full responsibility for the wines they sell and won't bale on you. read more
