Top end place for a fabulous lunch. And a waiter with good English skills.
Crowded and classy, with lots of dark woods and good furnishings. Amazing assortment of wines and liquors on display.
They have a big wine list with a good selection of both Italian and Swiss wines. I asked for "Swiss, white, and dry." Our waiter took the wine list, went away to get advice, and came back with an excellent recommendation at the low end of their very pricey wine list. Loved it.
For a starter we shared the best gnocchi we had on this Italy/Switzerland trip. I then had a great fish dish, the daily special. I asked the American name of the fish and he came back and told us. Neither of us knew what it was, but I ordered it anyway. It was probably a fresh water lake fish, thin, white, and perfectly cooked. On mashed potatoes with a cream sauce that didn't add much to the fish. But the fish itself was delicious.
They gave us some small starters as we waited, and a few munchies with our coffees. Altogether a wonderful dining experience. No wonder its a Michelin Guide 2016 restaurant. read more
