I had water come in my basement Sept. 4th of last year. A crew came in that night to do demo. I…read moregave them half the money to do rest of the demo and remodel in the middle of October. Someone showed up a couple of weeks later to remove the drywall and replace it. After 2 months of trying to get someone back to work on the basement again I finally got a date from Ben then to no surprise no one showed up. Someone showed up later that week to texture the drywall that was replaced, paint, and put new trim up. However, texture was not done, they just painted the mudded drywall and told me he couldn't match it. I asked about doing chair rail and Ben told the subcontractor no. I acknowledged that the chair rail was not part of the insurance claim and was willing to pay extra but was still told no, they wouldn't do it. I was then told that they put new trim up however they just put the water damaged trim they took off back up. I was lied to by the subcontractor and my project manager then was told there was a miscommunication. I was very clear that I wanted all the trim replaced and was told to my face by the subcontractor it was new and it was definitely not. After all this I made the decision to not have them finish any work that was left to be done. I asked for a final invoice which included installing NEW trim, painting a room that I painted, etc. In the end there was over $1,500 of charges they did not do. These are the most unprofessional, unreliable, "business" people I have ever experienced. Make sure to do ALL your research before hiring a contractor!
