The staff were professional and curteous, the salon was nicely appointed, and the staff didn't do the big push of products that you sometimes get. I got my hair cut into more or less its existing style, and the cutter, Lisa, really listened to what I wanted and got it right. A few weeks later, I got a voucher in the mail offering me a free blow wave, as a welcome for being a new customer, which I thought was really nice. I think if you introduce a new client you get a reward voucher too. The prices are a little on the high side, but I'm going back.

The hairdresser spent no time to work through and discuss what I had wanted for my hair. Stating that they could not work the picture style options I had given them. I had clearly stated I did not want anything tight and pulled back, but that is exactly what my hair looked like. Not once was I asked about how I wanted to work with my hair. I was so upset and left crying in the bathroom. My bridesmaids were poorly taken care of. Reporting to me that the hairdresser had slapped her hand when she asked about her hair falling out of place in the front. My other bridesmaid who was in the chair for less then 5 minutes to have a bow clip placed in her hair and charged $30. They were left with limp curls and messy plaits which did not hold for the day, falling out before we even left for the wedding ceramony. After frequenting the salon previously for similar services and always being happy with the result I was tremendously disgruntled on my wedding day. I would not be recommending Zurri Ellerslie salons services to anyone. I was very upset at how the morning was handled in the salon.

They show all of their products here so you can read up and decide which grade, length, colour and style of clip ins you need. This is helpful because when you go in store they don't allow you to try any of the extensions on, once you purchase a packet, that is it it's yours to keep. I chose their best grade AAA clip in extensions in their medium length and I am so happy with them! They are super easy to wear and they are real human hair, I know that sounds seriously gross but it's so handy because you can wash and style them just like you would your own hair, even with super hot straightening irons. If you are considering purchasing some come here! Or even look at their trademe store where they sell a lot of their products for cheaper than they do in store.

I used to go to the Pakuranga branch for years but my executive stylist had moved on - so I relocated to the Botany branch. My most recent stylist is Anna, she is an absolute doll and I love her expertise and the way she just knows what to do with my hair! Almost all the time, I just arrive with my long hair and she'd ask me "So what are we doing today"? and I would respond with a "You tell me", and she would just work her magic. I love that I have this kind of relationship with my stylist and I am always 100% happy with the outcome. You would have probably seen photos of my hair and I always do get compliments regarding my hair - well its because of Anna and Schnips guys! My most recent visit was before I left for my overseas experience USA bound back in March and I had always been wanting to try ombre'. It took about 2 hours to complete. Anna and the assistant stylist that helped took the time and their full attention to make sure that both colours blended together nicely! I was so stoked when my hair was dried and Anna even went through the trouble of tinting my eyebrows to make sure it matched with my new do! She is amazing. Looking at how long my hair is now I had to actually get rid of the ombre` as it ended up looking like really bad regrowth and I can not be sporting something like that... ha. In regards to service, Schnips has always treated me well! Both of the locations I had been to have been absolutely amazing and I love that they offer you beverage the moment you arrive. They also keep a file or record from all your previous visits so they know what was last done when there. The head massage is also amazing and they take the time to shampoo your hair twice, condition and even do a treatment. I usually spend about $250 or ever more when I visit but let me tell you it is absolutely worth it. I don't even blink when I hand over my card because of the results. Just stunning. I love it and I can't wait to come back to get my hair pampered!

Schnips PHd - Botany Horrible experience!! I tried to light…read moreup my color and I ended up with three different colors in my head. I was attended by an unexperienced girl who let the color sit on the root for too long, which ended up causing a orange carrot shade and after realising the horrible disaster they saturated my hair in peroxide to try to light up the point. I left very disappointed and I ended up paying about 245$ NZD for a redish/black/orange color that wasn't even the one I expected.
