They had a great selection of Desserts and I decided to go with the Caramel Brownie since it was just Baked. It was huge and seemed like a double order (took 1/2 home). Pretty good with just the right amount of Caramel & the Berries were a nice compliment. I paired it with a Cappuccino which was very good. The desserts are baked on premises with friendly service & it is cozy with a vibe that feels like you are in a home- looks like a great place to visit when it's cold outside (especially if that's a working fireplace.)

The arrangement/zoning in this area makes it difficult to find all of these places, but this one is truly a hidden treasure. They had such a large selection of interesting items on their menu, and the menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly. I ordered the soy steak burrito, and it came with a small side salad and tea or coffee. The dish was delicious and filling (and the price was very affordable!). I'm not a vegetarian, but I like to say that my eating habits are more "vegetarian preferred", and I could not even tell the difference between this soy steak and actual steak pieces. The texture was surprisingly close and they marinated the flavour well. I would say the spice flavour was a bit dominating on it, but this wasn't a deal breaker and it's difficult to find a good burrito outside of California/USA. The ambiance of the place was beautiful! It just seems like such a cool hang out spot and it was so artistic. I wanted to sit in all corners of this restaurant/cafe! On top of the excellent food and setup, they have a lot of very good looking pastries. I'm personally a snob when it comes to eating sugar (I avoid it as often as possible), but this was very tempting and my friend couldn't get away from it. She ordered one of the brownies and she said it practically melted in her mouth; her only problem with it was that the raspberries were frozen, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. I liked it so much, that I wanted to return. Unfortunately: I returned too late! It's a bummer, but if or when I return, that is the place I will definitely be visiting again. I really liked it a lot and I highly recommend it.

Ordered a Cappuccino & I was talked into a slice of Brownie Cake ("after all It's Saturday!). Cake was tasty and paired nicely with the coffee. They had a couple of other cakes and some cookies and bars. Full bar with sandwiches (paninis) burrito and salad options. Laid back and hipster vibe. They also have local bands or DJs in the evening/weekends. Also, has a great view of Lund Cathedral. Servers are smiling and upbeat. Great spot for a snack, drinks, music & coffee.

During the cold days of winter you just enjoy to gather with friends around a good beer (or pear cider for me!). Café Ariman offers you warmth, good music, and good drinks at reasonable prices. The place is clean but a bit loud and crowded during happy hours (but that's how we like it). 2nd time: Café environment In the afternoon, you can have a cosy talk with your friends. At the back of the café, the decoration is a feel like home kind of thing. If you like apple crumbles, they make a succulent one! Pair that with an espresso shot and your good to go for the rest of your day! 3rd time: Terrace environment They own a big terrace in front of the café where you can lunch (try their "Couscous") while sunbathing. They're not scared to offer a good portion and that's what makes the price reasonable. The food is also very tasty. It's a go to for any casual occasion and be assured you'll always step on someone you know over there!

The small chai latte is a decent size to keep you comfortably sipping from it for at least an hour (small sips though!). Europe really does it good with the foam in their lattes. In this particular chai latte, they top off the foam with more spices so that you can have more flavor while scooping up the foam. Yummm! Their carrot cake is super moist and you definitely get more bang for your buck (that's saying a lot here in pricey Sweden!!). Perfect ratio of cream cheese frosting to cake, and they add a thin slice of lemon to garnish the cake. I'm not a fan of a lot of frosting because it literally just tastes like sugar and fat to me, but they give you just the right amount here! Yummmm x2 There's one woman who's been here every time I've come, so I'm going to assume that she's the manager. She's not the friendliest. Actually, no. I've seen her smile and be super friendly with some people. So maybe it depends. The other employees who appear once in awhile are pretty inviting though. They're quick with service and will have you eating and drinking in no time. Perfect fika location!

While the staff isn't necessarily the friendliest in the world, they at least care about your order and prepare your order relatively fast. The seating area is wide and open, with plenty of windows to look at all the busy people walking by (...and all the buses). I've never had any problem getting a seat.

I visited 3 times during my stay in Lund just to make sure I saw all there was to see. I'm really glad I took so much time out to do so, especially given the greenhouse (Växthus) is open limited hours during the week. The Lund Botanical Gardens are FREE to the public too, which really can't be beat. A nearly straight shot east from the Cathedral, it's not to be missed if you're visiting the medieval city of Lund. My dear friend, who graciously offered me room and board during my stay in Sweden, attended Lund University, and shared with me that the greenhouse located at the heart of the gardens is home to tiny ground-dwelling king quail (they reminded me of itty bitty kiwis, see my pictures!), the smallest landfowl in the world, that help with pest control. If I hadn't known about this, I wouldn't have waited patiently and quietly in a serene corner of the Växthus for the little cuties to emerge and begin their important work in the greenhouses. There is so much to see inside the greenhouses, beyond adorable useful birdies! I saw plant fossils! And exotic Amazon lily pads! Australian trees! So many beautiful plants I may never ever see again in my lifetime! So, I definitely recommend a visit to the greenhouses, but also a determined stroll among the grounds. Take your time! One visitor I noticed had brought her cat with her in a discrete basket. (Again, proof is in my photos!) That's my kind of woman. I was especially pleased to see so many tulips in bloom. I know, so basic. Hours upon hours can be spent here, and spend them I did. There is a small cafe and restrooms located in the same area as the greenhouses, in case you are in need. Be aware that the gardens are a solid amount of walking for your day, but for me the time passed without much notice at all. With all the incredible sights to see in Lund, this was one of the best parts of my trip! It's not to be passed up if you're in the area. And after all, in comparison to my visit to Copenhagen's botanical gardens on the same trip, you can't beat free!

The biggest draw here is the glasshouse area and the nearby pond. The pond is filled with flowering lilies, and the ducks here are friendly and plentiful. The glasshouse area is surprisingly extensive, and a few rooms have what appear to be tiny quails (I even saw babies!) walking around freely and cooing/squeaking in a delightful way. Walking through the glasshouse gave me a sense of childhood wonder in places. And it's all free! Not free, but also lovely, is the cafe. I got a salad here (included free, fresh bread) that was tasty and very affordable. I ate outside by the pond, at the tables/benches. I'd plan an hour, if not more, for the glasshouse and pond.
