We had never been to this location before and just needed a few quick snacks, but it turned into such an easy and successful stop. We found deliciously cut watermelon in a single serving size and a yogurt parfait, which were both ideal on a hot day and something light before running. At one point, we were in the mood for a smoothie, and one of the employees pointed us in the right direction and recommended the organic vital berry smoothie. Not something I would have picked on my own, but it ended up being exactly what we needed in the heat. We also came across cinnamon bears, which instantly took me back since they were one of my childhood favorites, so of course, those made it into the basket too. Oh, and if you love beef jerky as I do, I have to mention the beef jerky selection because it was actually impressive. My favorite is EPIC, which can be hard to find, and they had a whole end cap full of jerky, and lo and behold, they had EPIC. That alone felt like a score. Checkout was super easy. I went straight to self-checkout, no line, and we were in and out quickly and able to get back to the track meet right on time. Helpful tip: If you're in a rush, head to the grab-and-go section and check the end caps. That's where I found some of the best stuff without having to search the whole store. It was one of those quick stops that just worked, especially on a busy day when you need something fresh, easy, and fast.

They have a parking lot but it's shared with other businesses and always seems to be full, however there's a good amount of street parking and I found a spot closeby no problem. When I walked in it was a lot bigger than I expected and they had a good amount of seating. There wasn't a line when I arrived, but that quickly changed after I placed my order and I feel like there was a steady stream of customers the whole time I was there. I was welcomed in and when I let them know it was my first time they recommended some items for me. I'm not a matcha fan, so I was more interested in trying their coffee. I ordered their date orange latte ($7), the twice hojicha ($7.50), and their simple avocado toast ($9). I had heard hojicha is a less grassy, more earthy/toasty version of matcha so I was excited to give it a try and see if I liked it more than matcha. Good news! Hojicha, at least the twice hojicha from Offbeat was delicious. I enjoyed the taste of tea and the aftertaste that matcha usually has for me wasn't there. I would 100% order this again. The date orange latte (iced) was also delicious and the flavors were perfect for our warm weather. The simple avocado toast had a thick piece of fresh baked bread with a generous layer of avocado on top. I don't frequently order avocado toast but it paired well with the drinks and is a great meal to start the day. I can see why this is a favorite for so many people and now that I've finally been in, I'll be back for more!

Pretty solid coffee place in Sacramento…read more Came here after lunch and the line seemed long but in actuality they just asked for customers to wait at the entrance when the line inside gets to a certain point. My lady and I ordered their BSL and Saigon Coffee. We were told it was their last day to get the BSL and it seemed hyped up so we gave it a try. It was not too bad! It was mainly a Matcha with banana syrup and little additions, I feel as if it was a little too overhyped. Their Saigon Coffee was a little lacking in coffee flavor & strength for my personal liking but it wasn't too bad! This place is definitely a solid Coffee shop in Sacramento for sure.

For those living in the neighborhood this is such a convenient spot. This is a smaller grocery store so you won't be able to find everything, but what they do have is plenty. There's fresh produce, wine, beer, shelf stable items essential to everyday recipes, and where they really shine is their deli and butcher area. They also have some prepared items like desserts, salads, dressings, pickles, dips, and more. On my latest visit I ended up ordering their Italian Hero ($11.99) from the deli counter, and picked up some of their pickles and house made caesar dressing. Everything was high quality and I loved that they have these options available. The Caesar dressing is delicious and I'll definitely be stopping in again for more. I've been using it on salads since picking it up. It had a good amount of parmesan cheese so The pickles have a very unique flavor, they're definitely tasty but not my favorite version of Dill Pickles- they are more tangy and zingy that traditional dill pickles, not bad just not what I expected. (I was thinking more kosher dill, like Claussen pickles or like the pickles you'd get at a Jewish deli). The sandwich was the star of the show, for $11.99 it was HUGE, the Italian Hero comes with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roasted red bell pepper, and provolone- all sandwiches also come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The combination of ingredients on Dutch Crunch bread was amazing and I think having roasted red peppers as an option is underrated, it elevates a sandwich so much. While I wouldn't do my normal shopping here, I would absolutely come for specialty items or pick up needed items for convenience. I'll be back again soon!

But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.
