Tom did a great job of showing us so many of their products. Often we've wanted to try a recipe but we've been stymied for lack of a spice or sauce. The variety here is amazing. I…read moreinitially learned about this small business through social media; however, it completely fell off my radar until I passed by over the weekend. I noticed the tea cart outside and was pleasantly surprised to learn that their tea cart is available on weekends during business hours (11am-7pm). Before picking up a herbal cold tea refresher, I took a quick look around the store. Lotus Herb & Tea is such a cute spot, and they sell various wellness products, including bath and body, loose leaf tea blends, tea accessories, and even plants! Teas are sourced from all around the world and blended in house. Staff are so friendly, and I'm glad that I got a taste of their herbal tea. I ordered the blue dragon and it was delicate, floral, and naturally sweetened with agave! Lotus Herb & Teas is truly a hidden gem in Midtown that's worth discovering.

They have all been here before and really like it so they specifically asked to stop on our way to dim sum. It brought back memories of when I was little and I would tag along with my parents when they went shopping. As these places go, it was really well organized. They had a whole wall of rice cookers and instant hot water dispensers in the back and I was able to find a large porcelain bowl for my wife for under $10 that she's been looking for for a while now. If you ever need a stack of benjamins for Ching Ming they have some here as well as incense, or anything else you might want. Staff was friendly and helpful. Greeted us and answered questions. They also had an herbalist in the back and my uncle was able to get some medicine. Needed to use the bathroom and my uncle directed me to the "employees only" bathroom with no issue. Parking lot was small but I was able to find a spot right up front. Prices are reasonable and my aunt said prices are better here than the places she shops in Stockton. I can see why they specifically asked to come here and I will probably bring them back again soon.

I call this the original whole foods atmosphere without the supermarket. I miss seeing Mrs. Elliot there, but the knowledgeable, welcoming staff continue to make this store special. You can describe what you're experiencing or ask about natural products, and the staff are always helpful in explaining the options, from powders and supplements to elixirs. Their expertise really shines through, and they seem carefully chosen for the knowledge and care they bring to their work. I also always browse the snack aisle and the deal baskets for great finds on "better-for-you" snacks. I've tried things that sounded a little unusual but turned out to be sooo delicious! If you know Sacramento, El Camino can be a bit questionable, but they are definitely making some positive changes making it more comfortable to come more frequently. Glad to see the area changing for the positive! Plenty of new businesses coming in. This has been a favorite of mine for years. Between the helpful staff, interesting products, and tasty discoveries, there's always a reason to come back!

Cons: They severely need to check expiration dates. My partner picked up some flour from them on Thanksgiving 2025, but it and the others available, were all expired. Ours literally had dead bugs in and around the bag... There are a lot of things expired, but thankfully, the chips and drinks are up to date. The worst thing about this place is the people that congregate here. There's homeless (that yell or stand in the street), people who blast their music, and people who love to be loud and argue. I've never seen so many annoying and inconsiderate people in my life.
