I stopped into Boswell's Harley-Davidson while passing through Nashville on a business trip from Colorado, and I'm so glad I did! Right when I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Chelsey, who was incredibly helpful. I was looking for T-shirts for my daughter, daughter-in-law, and sons, and she went above and beyond to make the experience easy and fun. She even held onto some shirts for me while I FaceTimed my son so he could pick out his favorite--such great customer service! The store itself is very clean, friendly, and welcoming. I also loved that they have a little deli area inside--it's such a cute touch and made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely worth the drive over during my lunch break, and I'd recommend this location to anyone--whether you're local or just passing through like me. read more

New rider (1year), brought in my 2015 883 for an oil change, air filter, and safety check. Long story short, I was not upsold on anything - Kenny was incredibly helpful and talked me through it all - talked me off the ledge on a few newbie concerns I had, and helped look over the bike with me to ID any potential issues. When I got my bike back, I was genuinely surprised by how much better it ran and the obvious care taken to ensure everything was cleaned, lubed, adjusted, even areas I didn't anticipate or call out specifically. If I had to nit-pick, to be fair, I may adjust the clutch cable tension as the clutch now engages too far out from the grip. I didn't know any better at pickup to ask, but I'm confident I can address this one myself. I am no stranger to oil changes for utility equipment but would rather trust someone with more time and skill to care for my bike, especially at this early stage. I'm skeptical of dealerships in general but I've had nothing but positive experiences at Boswell's so far. Peace of mind above all. Will keep coming back. read more

I started out on a 883 a few years ago, excited to get my first Harley and for that fact my 1st motorcycle. I even took the Harley motorcycle class upon my purchase. I feel in love with Harley Davidson and my wife and I rode that little bike all over The southeast. But as you can imagine the bike wasn't comfortable for riding hours on end. But we loved scooting around the back roads exploring. So after a little over a year we decided we needed a bigger bike that allowed us to be more comfortable and go further. So began our search for a bike we could afford. We found our selves out riding around Nashville one Saturday and stopped into Ring of Fire Harley Davidson to collect a T-shirt from the dealer since we haven't been here. While looking around we noticed a 2016 limited and loved the look of the bike, road it and found it to be outside of our budget especially with Covid. We talked to the salesman which was a really cool guy. Explained our situation and our budget. He showed us a few bikes but none were our bike. So over the next few weeks he would text me when he got something in that fit our budget and kept our payments where we needed them. After a few weeks he sent me a picture of a white 2005 classic with about 19k miles. So I went up to ride it and liked it enough to trade in the 883. Wasn't our end bike but much more comfortable than our current bike. The sales guy was awesome and felt we got a good deal on bike and trade. Again the sales guy I am not talking Ill about super good guy. We rode the white bike for about 5!months and really enjoyed it. Until one day my wife was getting ready for a ride and putting things in the tour pak, and asked if we ever received our registration. I told her I didn't think so maybe I overlooked it. So Monday I called the clerk of court thinking I overlooked it and get a replacement. Only to be told the bike isn't registered to me, nor is it titled to me or the dealership and as timing that day must of been perfect, I also received a letter from Harley Financing saying they haven't received the title for the bike and I must mail to them. That following Monday i text the sales guy because the dealership is closed explaining I need something I have been riding illegal for a few months. Thinking maybe it was just a mix up. He continues to tell me he will look into it and call me. Later that evening I get a call from Boswell and he begins to explain to me the title for the bike is fraudulent and I needed to return the bike. A couple of things start to bother me about this conversation as you can imagine. First if they knew the bike had a fraudulent title why did it take me calling them five months later to find out vs them calling me immediately. Second I traded in a bike to get this bike and have been paying on a bike I don't own. Boswell continues to tell me he will make it right and have his sales manager call me in the morning. I trusted that he would do me right, regardless of my disappointment. I get a call from the sales manager telling me I need to bring the bike back and walk home because they don't have a 2005 bike on any of there lots and nothing comparable in price to what I bought. Now my blood starts boiling because your telling me I rode in on a bike, left on a bike and now I have to return a bike and walk home. I get a text saying this is the best you can do is buy my illegal bike back at what I owe (not even what I purchased it for) and I walk home. Finally another sales manager calls from one of his other dealerships and offers to trade the original bike for a 2014 limited with no money out of my pocket. I ask him to send me a picture of it and he does. The bike to me was the ugliest bike I've seen so I look on there website and find another bike same year and same price that was red and send him a picture and say I'll take this one. I continue to tell him I don't want the brown and tan bike but I will take the red one. He replies by telling me Bubba says it's this one or nothing. So not wanting to walk home I agree to this bike I didn't want because I wanted a bike. So I go to the dealership they erase the white bike from every piece of paper and I walk out paying 3k more for I bike I absolutely hate plus the 1k I paid to Harley finance for a bike that I didn't own. Not much of a even trade because I am now 3 to 4K over the illegal bike. I guess it was a good day for Boswell they were able to get the ugly bike off there lot and still make money off me. I couldn't even get the payments I've made on the illegal bike credited to my new purchase. So now I sit with a Harley that I absolutely despise and am embarrassed to ride. I like the bike but the color is hideous and I have to ride it at night in order to smile. I've had this bike now for a month now and between the bike and the experience I've began to lose my joy of riding. read more

My husband and I came in today before our flight out of town ! We were sadly disappointed in the lack of service from the two ladies working ! They didn't welcome us in and were more concerned with talking amongst themselves about where they are getting a tattoo and much other small talk - never once said can we help you find something ? They didn't care - seemed like they didn't like there jobs or they just didn't care as there socializing amongst each other was more important then helping the customers ! My hubby and I needed help and they ignored us --- so instead of purchasing the three items we put them back and walked out - horrible customer service -- I will not return here and I do not recommend this Harley apparel shop ! read more

It's been a few years since I pulled into Boswells with a bad chain after 17 hours on the rode up from San Antonio. They were getting ready to close, but drove me to a near-by hotel, and picked me up the next morning. They hooked me up with a new chain and geared me up a little for the rest of my trip ending the next day at noon in Uxbridge, MA. The service was great, and they turned what could have been a ruined trip into a pleasurable experience for a 19 year old Air Force member on a 30 day leave. I'm glad to see they are still there for you like they were for me in June in 1967...I saw the review by Ray, I wish the people I worked with in 67 were still there--I am sure that Ray would have had a better experience. read more

Not happy with this dealership's customer service two years in a row. We stopped in Nashville, TN on a bike trip in 2019 and this past weekend as well. In 2019 we needed a battery. Went to the parts counter and the man working behind the counter was gruff and not very pleasant at all. Still, they had the battery in stock so we purchased and off we went. Last weekend, we were riding through town and having problems with a fuse/fuse holder. The woman who initially waited on us at the parts counter was absolutely *wonderful*. But she had to send us to the service department. Two men sat behind the counter and neither seemed to give a flying **** about our issue. No problem, I can fix it because you're sure as hell not touching it. And the accessories? Forget about it. $130 for parts plus 8 hours labor for drag bars?! My 10 year old could put 'em on for me. Went here to get a rear tire changed on my Wide Glide. They had a better price then Cool Springs and they actually seemed to want to help, unlike cool springs which seemed bothered when I asked for help. Showed up for my 8 AM apt, the guys (Kenny) and the service manager were both very personable people, offered to have the grill open early for me so I could get some breakfast and did a quick safety inspection on my bike to make sure it was good to go. After the work was done, they gave me a few pointers for good tire life, and checked and adjusted my front tire pressure. All in all it was one of the best service experiences I've received from a motorcycle dealer. Thanks guys! read more

Called to see how much it would cost to put my 2 tires on and was told 2 hours of labor plus tax. Just over $200. Even when I dropped it off was told the same thing. When I picked it up the bill was $280 with an oil filter. I was told the reason was, they put tubes and rim rings on. They claim they won't put tires on without new tubes and rings. Why wasn't I told that before I dropped it off? It looks like they tell you something to get your bike in and charge more to get it out. After explaining my side they did drop it to $254. Won't be getting me or my bike back. read more

I wish to thank everyone in a great service department for a quick and Through Repair of my Softail. I went from a totaled bike to a better than new riding bike in 2 days. I was informed by another dealer that I needed a frame and no further service could be performed until the frame was replaced. I called Rob and he had me bring the bike to Boswell to have a look. The service manager understood perfectly what the issue was and had the paperwork wrote up in no time. I got my bike back in 2 days riding BETTER THAN NEW. Be SURE to ask for Yosemite Sam....... It all started when I was looking for a motorcycle since I've been itching to ride again. I went on Cycle trader and was looking for a Harley Davidson Night Rod Special (NRS). I've called many dealers about their inventory and to see if I can have it shipped to Las Vegas. It's been a long and upsetting journey until I found this dealer. I've been dealing with Matthew 'Woody' Gambrell about their 2017 HD NRS and let me tell you, what a great guy and his boss as well. Not only were they very professional and easy going, they made dream come true with the extra care they gave me and my new bike. Lady folding shirts was super friendly! Greeted us, asked if we needed assistance and offered to get a fitting room set up after I selected a shirt I liked. Store has a decent selection of shirts, hats, magnets, decals, patches, key chains, poker chips, etc. Lady at register could have had more of a personality but hey...the lady at the door make up for what the cashier lacked. Every visit I've had at Boswell's has been an excellent experience. Whether taking a rider course, fitting a new helmet, or shopping for the dream bike, the entire staff makes you feel welcome and like you've found your new home. A few weeks after taking a rider course, I stopped in to get a new helmet and some gloves. Not only did Jennifer remember my name (we had met for 0.25 seconds weeks earlier), she knew exactly what I wanted and had me squared away in no time. As my group was passing through Nashville my rear wheel developed spoke problems. It was about 4:30 when we called Boswell on the north side in Goodletsville and explained the problem, they said all we could do was show up in the morning and talk to the service department then since we would not make it before closing at 5 that night. We were waiting in the parking lot when the employees showed up the next morning. When I finally was able to speak to the service manager he said he had to check stock to see if they could help me. When I explained that the group had stayed all night and were wanting to know how long it may take he waved his hand over all their appointments in the book and said all these bikes needed service before they could get to mine but first he had to find time to see if they even had parts, and he would find me when he had more info. About am hour later he found me and said they had no parts to fix mine. I asked about any take off parts they might have and he explained that all those parts went to their main dealer about 12-15 miles south in Nashville. I asked if he could call them to check (I kinda assumed they would automatically do that HA!) he actually told me that he didn't want to BOTHER the other service department at this time!!! He said I should ride down there and ask in person. When I explained my concern about riding an unsafe bike to a dealer that might not be able to help me and it made more sense to call to find out first he said the best he could do was trailer my bike down later in the day when he got a chance! Luckily a local customer overheard the whole exchange and immediately called Appletons in Clarksville and gave me his phone to talk to them. They were just about as opposite an experience as I could have had! They not only figured out on the phone if they could help me but also put it on priority sice I was on the road and with a group once I arrived. Also every local rider I told my story to said service out of towners first since that's what they would want if they broke down on the road. read more
