After reading the previous review,I felt I had to say something about the staff at Boswell's. I may have been lucky on my visits, but I have found the staff to be polite, cheery, happy to help and thoroughly professional. My problem would be with the coffee itself (very important in a coffee shop). I would have given four or maybe five stars had the coffee been good. It was not. I would say that it was the quality of the roast/blend/variety itself that was to blame. Not the staff. I ordered a cappuccino and asked for it to be made in a particular way. The staff member was very accommodating and I feel she would have made it however I wanted it - no fuss, no trouble, and all with a cheery smile. It was prepared not quite how I had asked but I think that would probably have been sorted had I returned it but I was rather tied up with my meeting.
The coffee, as I said, was very poor. Not a good flavour (what there was of it) at all.
I really like Boswell's. It is unique. Great position, great staff, great decor and very comfortable seating. Such a shame the coffee was so poor. We will return as we have chosen Boswell's for our meetings - for the time being! I may have been unlucky and will give it another shot (see what I did there?).
