Had to see the chef before we left - hats off to him! I would give a 5*, few niggles that need adjusting. Bathroom needs regular cleaning.

Last year, I ordered a large biryani tray for a work party and after front staff quoted a price, I placed the order for pickup later in the week. The day before the pick up, I called to confirm the order and no one could find record of my order. After calling the owner and a lot of back and forth, they finally "located" my order but the quoted price was almost DOUBLE the original quote!!! They admitted they gave me the wrong quote originally and I had no choice but to pay. Last week I decided to give them another chance. I ordered the same large biryani tray for a large family dinner party and told them about the frustration last year with the price and the lost order. They assured me that everything would be ok. I confirmed that the biryani order was with white boneless chicken meat and the front staff checked with the owner and confirmed. A few days later, I picked up the biryani tray and when it was served, I realized it was made with bone-in full chicken and mostly dark meat. I paid extra for white meat and didn't get the right order I will not be ordering from this restaurant again. Very frustrating experiences. Poor customer service and being ripped off with the price.

I loved the atmosphere.

I ordered the one meal there and as I drove up the street, I stopped at Kothur Indian Cuisine. We had ordered from them previously on Skip and loved the food, so I had no hesitation stopping there for a quick pick-up. The young lady at the counter was very nice and tried to help me choose something for take out. I settled on the Lamb Kothur - they even tossed in complimentary bread. The Lamb was delicious - no bones! And, the bread was melt in your mouth. The food was just as good as it was when we ordered delivery. Definitely recommend this restaurant. There are tables for eat-in as well.

Delicious food, amazing service…read more Spent the weekend in London, Ontario and was hunting down a place for a last minute birthday celebration. I'm not familiar with the area, so I turned to Yelp for restaurant recommendations. Pleased to say, I can always trust my fellow Yelpies and their reviews. Found this place as one of the top ranked in London. It was a little last minute, but I managed to secure a reservation for two on a Friday afternoon for the following evening. When we arrived, we were politely greeted by the owner who was incredibly friendly. It's a small restaurant, but lively at the same time. I would say, definitely dress for the occasion. We looked through the menu and decided on Ricotta Gnudi with pancetta and brussel sprouts in a butter sauce for appetizer. Deeeelicious. For mains, we ordered the casarecce with beef tenderloin tips, in a creamy cambozola and chive sauce and potato gnocchi with pork ragu. You know how usually in fancy restaurants, portion sizes are so tiny that you have to hit up McD afterwards? This was not the case. What a pleasant surprise! The portion sizes were big enough that we managed to be full from dinner AND have enough to pack two boxes full! For dessert we ordered this peachy dessert. Unfortunately I don't have the name (tried searching it and realized their menus change quite often!). It was good, but I would have to say the appetizer and entrees were my favourite. Highly recommend this place and would come again!

I've been meaning to check out Abruzzi for a while now, and I'm glad that I did! I think this is a…read moreperfect date-night spot. The ambience is cozy and romantic, and service is fantastic. We decided on the following dishes: I) Seasonal grilled crostini II) Grilled octopus III) Whole wheat angel hair with jumbo prawns & scallops The crostini was by far my favourite. The mixture of duck, coriander, and toppings made for a delectable appetizer. However, the octopus was not what I expected. I think I had in my head a more tender texture typically found with squid tentacles. The octopus was oddly soft/chewy, and threw my tongue into a bit of a limbo. The pasta was delicious - a reliable seafood dish that was a surprisingly decent portion even when shared. The service stood out to me because we only ordered one entree, and the waitress recognized that we would likely be sharing, and brought it out to us already split up on two separate plates. I had never experienced such forethought, and truly appreciated the gesture. Though prices are a bit higher than other Italian joints in London, I do think Abruzzi is worth a visit.

My bf and I came here upon a recommendation while doing the cheese trail for lunch. Heard they are…read morefamous for their massive panzerotti so we decided to give this place a try. Super friendly staff who seated us in a booth. Only complain was that they had a fly issue, so many flies around our booth that kept on flying around our table and the table behind us. Waitress was quick to take our drink orders, we had ordered deep fried cheese curds for our appetizer and "The Great Canadian" in a small size which consists of marinara, maple syrup, pepperoni, mushrooms, peameal, mozzarella/ cheddar cheese and bacon served with a side of marinara sauce to dip. This panzerotti comes in 3 sizes - kiddie, small and large. The small was huge! Definitely a 2-3 person portion in my opinion. Took a bit of time for it to arrive since it is made fresh, worth the wait. Came piping hot, gooey cheese, lots of meat and lots of mushrooms. The breading was a bit on the crisper side, hard to cut in with the knife we were given. It was super filling, the two of us couldn't even finish it and had to take it to go. You can build your own panzerotti with each topping costing about $1.49 or you can get their recommendations which they will list out how many toppings are in their recommended panzerotti (beside it). In our case, the great Canadian had a total of 6 toppings so 6 x $1.49 each, etc. Plus the size of the panzerotti you chose (price varies). Overall, if you're in town you should definitely try it out, they have a seasonal patio out front, indoor dining and free parking on the premises. They also offer a variety of different foods, pizzas, wraps, steaks, burgers, pastas, lunch, breakfast, kids menu, alcohol, etc. They open from 8am every day.

Ordered vegan poutine with vegan "sausage" and a pizza with Basil Pesto sauce with artichoke, sun dried tomatoes and roasted garlic as toppings. First the poutine. The fries good and the gravy was OK. Perhaps the oil for fries needed a change as it had an after taste. The vegan "sausage" was a letdown. Pieces of (vegan) hot dogs perhaps. Didn't go well. We assumed that the poutine would be served first, but it came almost half way of our dinner. The pizza was something else all together. Amazing crust - we could just eat the crust plain. The basil pesto one of the best we have had. The toppings plenty. Artichoke, garlic and sun dried tomatoes combo really worked for us. Baked well done, the way I like it. Only the tomatoes were a bit too well done and some of them completely dark. Very satisfying pizza after a long time. Too bad we didn't have room for vegan desserts. Service good and prompt. Could have used chilli peppers on the table or any other spice.
