My husband is a comics fan, so I talked him into attending Boston Comic Con with me.
We had a great time! He bought 70 comics and looked like a kid in a candy store most of the day. He told me the prices were below what he'd normally see at the stores in their retail locations.
We bought tickets day of on Saturday afternoon (for one day only) and there was a bit of a line for that (cash only, be sure to stock up before entering) but the line moved quick enough to not be a huge deal.
The costumed attendees inside were pretty cool. There was a guy in a crazy transformers costume that towered above us all. I saw the coolest Dad ever, dressed as batman (in a Dark Night movie quality costume) while pushing a stroller with a baby in it, and holding the hand of a costumed toddler daughter. I didn't have time to take a picture, but said to him in awe, "You're the coolest!". Not breaking character, he gave me a gravel voiced "Thank you" in reply.
I plan on returning next year. read more
