I would highly recommend you steer clear of this dealership. The prices they advertise and provide…read morevia quote are incredibly misleading. The vehicle we were interested in was listed with a ~$9300 dealer discount prior to any Ford rebates. When we inquired about the OTD price, the dealer discount was reduced to ~$6800 because we were told a trade-in was required. Nowhere is this caveat listed on their website. We then had them apply a number of Ford rebates that we qualified for. This resulted in the dealer discount reducing to ~$5300. So just like that $4000 in dealer discount disappeared! I have purchased enough vehicles to know the dealer discount is typically fixed and prior to any manufacturer rebates. In this case it appears they are benefiting themselves from the manufacturer rebates. In my personal opinion I would categorize this as fraud, would you?

I brought my 1965 Ford F-350 to this shop last year based on the recommendation of someone I…read moretrusted. I brought the truck in to repair existing oil leaks, including the rear seal, install new tires, and perform additional mechanical work. Approximately 200 miles after leaving the shop, the truck suffered an oil-pump failure and became inoperable. The shop had put synthetic oil in the engine, and my current mechanic has identified additional concerns with the work that was performed, including issues with the oil-pump gaskets and other workmanship. I have documentation of the original work, invoices, photographs, and the subsequent repairs and findings from my mechanic. I have attempted to resolve this directly with the shop and have asked them to cover the repairs related to the work I believe caused or contributed to the damage. At this point, they have been unwilling to do so. I brought my truck to them in good faith and expected it to be returned to me in reliable condition. Instead, I have incurred significant additional repair and transportation expenses. I am willing to share the shop's response as well as the documentation supporting my concerns. I would much rather have resolved this directly and fairly than post a negative review. Until this matter is resolved, based on my experience, I would recommend exercising caution before having a classic or vintage vehicle serviced here.

My husband called Lake City Auto after 2pm & explained the issue. "Bring it right on in. I'll get the parts ordered while you get here. We'll get you done this afternoon." was what he was told. And, that's exactly what occurred!! We pulled in; they pulled our truck into a service bay; and, less than 1 hour later and at a very fair price, we were rolling. Thanks, Lake City Auto for prompt, reasonably priced repairs that saved our weekend. We'll be back next time we need service.

A mechanic friend suggested a full transmission service, so we took the car to Transmark. They were very busy and said they would investigate the issue the next few days. Two days later they called us and told we could pick up the car. They had found a loose wiring harness possibly shorting out, probably causing the problem, so they repaired this. They suggested we drive it for awhile and see if the issue was resolved. Not only did they not do a unneeded service, we were not charged for finding the issue. Very honest people and I would use them again if needed for any further transmission service.

They took excellent care of me every step of the way. They fixed my car as quickly as possible to get me back on my road trip. I heard from a local that he does really good work and is actually a certified transmission tech unlike some other places around here. I feel like I made the right choice coming here!
