I have been curious about acupuncture for a long time, especially after hearing great results from…read morefriends who practice it. So when I recently pulled a muscle in my back, pretty much debilitating me, I thought this is the perfect ailment to try out the ancient art of acupuncture on. I did do some research on the steps that Western Medicine would take me through to relieve my back pain, which were bed rest, pain killers, physical therapy, and finally surgery. No, thank you, Mam! I knew a more holistic route was for me. I am so glad I went to Adam Learner at Family Acupuncture and Herbs. I did three sessions of acupuncture and started on a series of Chinese Herbs specifically designed to help acute back pain. I had about a 70% decrease in my back pain and just as much in mobility. The acupuncture itself is painless. And once the needles are administered you get a few minutes of good zen sleep. Family Acupuncture and Herbs can help with the relief of PMS, Arthritis, Weight Loss, and Back, Joint, and Knee Pain(and much more). If you are feeling unbalanced and have a lack of faith in what Western Medical practices can do for you, I definitely recommend checking out acupuncture. You will feel an increase in energy and desire to want to feel better. What can I say, I am hooked! A few more notes: I know that they accept some insurance policies, so that is worth checking out. They also sent me a $15 gift card for their in-house masseuse and 2 free 1st sessions of acupuncture for friends, which is awesome!

The doctor has a thorough intake process with a long questionnaire that is quite detailed. I was amazed to learn that a number of issues that I had been suffering with were actually related to each other. I was placed on the waiting list for an in-person appointment, but in the meantime, I was started me on a regimen of herbs shortly after our initial phone consultation. The dotor was fantastic about explaining both the dosage and what each one of the herbs did and what they were for. Several of my issues had started clearing up before my first appointment! The doctor was also very quick to return my calls whenever I had questions or needed to relate different symptoms. Since the initial phone consult, I have had several physical treatments and am happy to report that many of my issues have either been completely resolved or drastically improved. Some of these issues have been life-long problems that I didn't think could ever improve. I can't recommend FAHM enough!

Yuri heals our bodies with an approach that restorers natural wellness. Yuri believes doctors should be protecting wellness, not just attacking diseases after they are harming us. This makes sense to me. I have never found anyone else who has the same talent. I consult Yuri even though I now live hours away in Massachusetts. I make the occasional trip for a checkup, but most of my consultations are by phone. Yuri makes himself available daily when he's helping me try a new appr, and if I'm having difficult. I have not been well for almost 10 years. It finally came to mind that I needed Yuri when I became extremely sick all of the time. I see the best doctors at the best hospitals in Boston. Nobody could solve the puzzle, they could only look at different body parts. I finally called Yuri and asked for help. Yuri quickly diagnosed why my body had so many problems. Using diet and herbs, Yuri stopped my buildup of toxins. My sick organs are healing. He is restoring the flow of healthy energy so my body can achieve the wellness it is designed to do for itself. Yuri also knows and appreciates the ways our western medicines can save lives, using surgeries and prescriptions are for emergencies. But it doesn''t keep us at optimum wellness everyday. Many things my top Boston experts did were making me more sick over time. I'd recommend and trust Yuri for everything. If I lived nearby, I'd also be repeating acupuncture. I'm thankful for the incredible care I received from Yuri. He works miracles even long distance!.

Katherine is very professional and comforting. She asked some basic questions like how did you hear about Rhythms, what problems am I experiencing, have I tried acupuncture before. She explained that I would receive some information via email and that I should fill it out prior to the first visit. This step really saves time because I didn't feel rushed to answer the questions. Initial consultation was approx an 1:15 and very thorough. I had no idea of how chineese medicine worked or how it could help me but after that first hour I definitely knew this was a different approach to healing and well being. Rhythms center for woman is about bridging the gap between chineese and western medicine. The table experience did not hurt at all. In fact, as the needles (tiny) were being placed I had to ask if there was really a needle there. I am simply amazed at how smooth the treatment went. Alittle aprehensive at first but now a believer. My neck pain is dimished immensely, headache free for several days following treatment. I do understand and you should also that this is not a miracle cure but rather a treatment and the beginning to a better way to living a healthier life style. I highly recommend Rhythms to anyone who is thinking about acupuncture. I do want to add that the location was easy to find, I paid by credit card and left the center feeling very positive. Woman of all ages would feel welcome.

Kevin is very connected to the other oriental medicine practitioners in the area and can recommend you to specific practitioners for herbs or other treatments as needed too. He practices Kiiko Matsumoto's style of acupuncture, so he does not do some traditional stuff like looking at your tongue or taking your pulse, preferring to rely on the sense of touch and palpitations to find the energy points.

He is also quite frank, which may be off-putting to some but is appreciated if you want the possibly grim truth about your condition without being given false hope. However, if you are coming to him as someone who has received a fatal diagnosis, as my family member did, you will find his services dwindle as the patient does. And what I mean by that is the distinct impression that he will not be making money off of the patient after a certain point and becomes hard to reach when the going gets tough. He seems to give plenty of attention when you are still healthy enough to keep paying, but if you are terminal he tries to milk it up front. As my family member declined, he pawned us off on his staff instead of giving the direct attention he did in the beginning. But if you can afford the high cost of his care and are not terminal it's probably worth trying him out.
