I was initially introduced to her through a friend, but I strongly believe God also aligned us in perfect harmony. We began our journey with a great consultation. Then, there were home visits where Ebon'Nae thoroughly explained the birthing process to my husband and me -- patiently answering any and all questions we had. She also took time to come to an important midwife appointment with me where we discussed my desired birth plan. Throughout my experience, Ebon'Nae offered everything from tools and advice to prayers which really helped me to move through my pregnancy with a sense of ease leading up to the birth. For the actual birth, she was right there by my side physically and mentally coaching me through every moment while going the extra mile to visually capture some of the best moments as well. With this being my first pregnancy, as one would imagine, there were a lot of unknowns to explore, and having such a knowledgeable and supportive doula like Ebon'Nae, I felt seen and safe. While she always kept things very professional, she also felt like family -- and I feel so blessed to have gained the opportunity to work with her. She's truly called to do this work, and words alone can't describe her amazing service. If you're looking for an amazing doula or to train to become one, I send my highest praises and recommendation to "glow" with Ebon'Nae.

Even advocating for me when I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to the hospital to check on baby, and Dr wanted to go through C-Section. Ebon'Nae was able to let me know I, as a patient had options when me and baby were doing fine! I had the strength and faith to let them know I would not go through with it! With her help I was able to fulfill my hopes of having a VBAC naturally and gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy!

Please consider giving Born 2 B A Blessing a try, they genuinely care about their patients.

We planned for a home birth but my son had other ideas & at 41 weeks 2 days Gretchen saw indicators that this birth wasn't going to happen the way we wanted it to. I went to BSW Dallas & Gretchen coached me through a 9 hr active labor, first no drugs then gas then a dreaded epidural. We were minutes from an emergency c-section & I was useless to make decisions. She coached my husband on what to do & say to help me too. Finally, my son arrived 30 min past midnight after a 7 am admit to the hospital. This woman breathed with me, held my hands my legs all while we tried different birthing positions. Without her beside me I know for a fact my son would have been a c-section delivery & this would have been a worse experience than my first. Gretchen is worth every fee, before during & after delivery. I can't thank her enough for helping deliver my son; my 11 yr wait 'God Gift' safetly. - We didn't qualify for Medicaid but couldn't afford out of pocket insurance. The labor & delivery dept. in our town & 2 others nearby had closed almost a decade previously. So, we sold my car to pay 80% of the global fee & did a payment plan for the remainder. Anything to avoid a hospital bill. Which we did wind up incurring anyway but Gretchen still stayed by my side throughout. This woman is a Godsend.

She is easy going, caring and very encouraging. I never feel rushed when meeting with her which I can appreciate. Dr. Northrop not only exceeded my expectations during pregnancy but also was great at lifting me up during some of the hard times. There are 2 other doctors at WCA, Dr. Pearce and Dr. Bhakta. Both of them are great so if your original doctor is unavailable no worries. Dr. Bhakta recently joined WCA and was the one who actually delivered my little one. I met her a couple weeks before and honestly it felt like she was my doctor the entire 9 months. Thanks to her for an incredible birth experience! Overall I would recommend WCA to anyone.
