They took wonderful care of my anxious big dog in a very stressful situation. He ended up needing surgery and they were outstanding with communication during the whole process. I appreciate everyone there answering all of my 1000's of questions and being so patient as I figured out what to do for my dog. I'm so grateful that we found this wonderful vet and will only trust them with our animals in the future.

Their prices are outrageous. I had to ask 4 times before i finally got copies of my dog and cats bloodwork and xrays. No communication. Dont answer phone, texts or email. So ya, I became irritated and rude. Give me my overy priced test results for my pets. $2500 to remove a tooth. Could never get a straight answer on anything i asked when they said my cat had diabetes. As soon as i said i was going to get a second opinion, vet told me i couldnt go back because i was disrespectful. Ya, im dealing with my 2 pets health, im gonna demand better treatment. And what about the respect i was given? Talking over me, charging incorrectly, not giving me the test results. Told i couldn't even go back even if my pet was bleeding to death. Stay far away from these people. If you take their advice and don't question them, and of course, can afford their outrageous pricing, you'll be fine. But if you dare question or complain about their rude staff or ask for test results, you'll be banned. As the vet personally told me herself, there are many other veterinarians in the area. I suggest you try one of them. ****Good AI response from office manager, but none of this compassion, care or communication was shown in my pets, or my own case. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I chose River City Vet and Dr DoBroth was our vet, she is amazing. Took her time, asked the right questions'. She went over a plan and asked if I was good with it. Felt like I was heard. From the moment I walked in it was great. Very clean, staff were very courteous. I got in quickly even though they were busy. Her plan - our plan- is realistic not overboard. Brody is 15 years old and the treatment plan is going very well. In fact, he's acting like a youngster. Thank you Dr DoBroth for your care. Peggy and Brody

We were told he was healthy. He wasn't. I brought Blue in for a weight check 3-4 weeks after his checkup. He had lost nearly a pound in that time. He wouldn't eat. His behavior had changed. No one followed up on my concerns. I called River City Vet a few days after the weight check because Blue was lethargic and wouldn't eat or drink. We were told they didn't have time for us. I took Blue in to West Vet for IV fluids every day for 3 days. My husband was out of the country and made an emergency flight home from Japan while we struggled to keep Blue alive so he could say goodbye to his favorite human. Blue died in our arms on Easter Sunday, a few hours after my husband got home. He was only 6 years old.

Honest Experience at The Pet Clinic…read more I took my cat to The Pet Clinic on December 20, 2024, for a check-up. His blood work came back fine, but they noted his teeth were in poor condition, with one tooth needing extraction. I brought him back on December 30 for the procedure, performed by Dr. Danny Williams. The total cost for that visit was $804. After the extraction, my cat started losing weight rapidly. Within a week, he had lost at least a pound, so I took him back for more tests, which cost an additional $489. They prescribed prednisone and a food stimulant, and I had to start force-feeding him. Over the next week and a half, his condition worsened--his legs started giving out, and he could barely move. I strongly believe something went wrong during the surgery, though I can't prove it. Ultimately, I had to take him to another clinic to put him to sleep. Losing him was devastating, and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone. In total, I spent $1,687 trying to help my cat, only to lose one of the best pets I've ever had. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions. Based on my experience, I wouldn't trust The Pet Clinic with my pets again.

First appt was okay. Some upselling of services, but not high pressure. We miss our vet in Boise,…read morebut wanted one more local. Second, and most recent visit, my husband took out two dogs to. The appt. was to express our male dog's anal glands as well as having both dogs ears cleaned and toe nails trimmed. This is for what the appt was made. The technician and vet tried to sell dental care (which we were going to schedule next) and told they'd take care of these other needs, under sedation, at that time. Anal glands were never checked! Ears not looked at. Toenails ignored. My husband left the appt with NONE of our dogs needs addressed. We will be going back to our trusted vet in Boise. We do NOT recommend this vet service.

He spotted something with my dog that we weren't even there for within minutes of meeting him. Something that my dog was born with that no other vet noticed. (What he noticed with my dog was confirmed with screening) The knowledge and the professionalism here is 100/10. Even the people at the front desk are so great! I can not say enough good things about Viking and their staff. I live in Boise but it's worth the drive to Viking.

We had a very disappointing experience with Viking Veterinary Hospital in Nampa. While we initially…read moretrusted the care provided for our dog, Ozzy, the billing and communication process was extremely concerning. We were given estimates at the time of service and made decisions based on those numbers. However, additional charges were later presented that were not clearly communicated or aligned with what we understood and agreed to. We paid the high end of the surgical estimate, yet are now being pursued for more without clear justification. Beyond the financial concerns, the way this situation has been handled has felt unprofessional and unnecessarily aggressive, including threats of collections before a clear resolution process. We are currently working to resolve the balance, but we will also be filing a complaint with the Idaho State Board of Veterinary Medicine due to concerns about transparency and communication. We strongly encourage others to ask very detailed questions and get everything clearly documented before proceeding with care here.

Our dog goes to another vet (original since adoption) but we are thinking about transferring him to Indian Creek. We originally found this place by calling around for spaying our rescue kitty that was fond at Lake Lowell by my daughter. Not wanting to overwhelm or wait for weeks for the low cost public clinics, I looked at reviews and got quotes from several Veterinary establishments. This place was very reasonable compared to other places. We took our rescue kitty and low-and-behold she was already pregnant. I guess Lake Lowell is the place to be. So they looked her over and said she was very healthy. After giving birth to a whole lotta absolutely adorable kittens, we got her spayed when she was ready. The cost of shots and the spay procedure was a lot cheaper than other places. After adopting out the litter, we kept one that was a boy. When the time was appropriate, we took him in to get neutered. In both instances of surgery and the other times we took our kitties in for booster shots, the staff was nothing but kind and professional. Not only did they put our furkids at ease, they put my wife and I at ease. I would not hesitate recommending this place for cats. I'll update if I choose to transfer my dog to Indian Creek.

Our beloved Kody, Siberian Husky was at getting towards the end and they helped us so much with the diagnosis and pain management. One of the doctors came to our house on the day we said our goodbyes. It was beautiful, loving, and full of tears. Kody in his final moments was surrounded by his family with an abundance of love. They took him when left us and called us about a week later. We went to go pick him up and it was just want we wanted. We miss him so much but having him at home with his picture in the front allows us to talk to him and give him pets. We can't thank the team enough for their kindness, patience, and compassion.

When we dropped Ponyo off the receptionist was so sweet. Dr. Jenkins was amazing. She was informative, laid out our options, and spoke with kindness and love. Unfortunately Ponyo passed away while there. Dr. Jenkins was very apologetic, explained what happened, and sounded genuinely distraught. We asked to pick her up so we could bury her at home. When we showed up, me with red rimmed eyes, and my daughter still crying, the woman that helped us (not the same one from the morning) had absolutely no warmth, kindness, or compassion. I said we were there to pick up Ponyo, and the first thing and only thing she said was, "it'll just be $83 for the office visit". No condolences, no kindness in her voice. She then stated "I'll go get him". Him. Ponyo was a female. She didn't even bother to pay attention. When Ponyo was brought out to us she was in an Amazon shipping box, which was all but shoved into my daughter's hands. Again, no amount of kindness or warmth. Nothing. Not a single word. A day that had turned out so horrible was made worse by this woman. How do you look at a crying child and have no compassion? It was in such contrast to Dr. Jenkins that I was taken aback. After the pickup experience we won't return.
