please don't go to border Exchange they started charging 6% commission starting April 1 2026. I just 1000 pesos the lady gave me Be careful.!!! it's fraud!! read more

Change was quick and easy for first timer across the boarder. As a student with a great brain for deals I recognized I lost more than is gained with exchange here. Not a rip off but a few cents makes a different, there were locals services up and down the same street that had better exchange rates. drive towards the area and see what you can find before deciding on this spot in particular - for the sake of price comparisons. read more

Fast and easy! Right on the way to the boarder, easy to access. Good rates. It took 5 minutes with another car ahead of us.

came here to get pesos and they have the best rates in town! the exchange was straightforward and staff was nice.

This place is our go to for currency exchange. The rates are great, and they have a new machine that gives 10 cents more to the dollar and honestly the beat rates on the block. They also don't charge any outside fees which is a huge plus! read more

My go to place when i want to exchange dollars to paseos, good rates of exchange but not the best. Only thing that questionable is they give you large bills and you have to ask for smaller bills. read more

Efficient dollars to pesos exchange close to the border. Clerks don't smile or talk, just exchange money

They are friendly, patient and understanding us.. that was good.. trust to trade for usd and peso!

Convenient and easy. We bought the CBX pass when we bought our plane tickets (Volaris). We took uBer to get to CBX. We filled in and printed our immigration form at CBX. There's a rep there that will walk you through the process. You need that completed immigration form along with your passport, boarding pass, and the CBX Pass (QR code) to proceed through the bridge. On the Mexican side, you'll pay the Tourism Fee ($84 for me and the wife). They only take credit card. There's also a rep that walks you through the whole process. You'll need the tourism fee receipt to show the Mexican Immigration along with your passport. Once approved they'll stamp and tear off a portion of the immigration form with the valid dates for your stay in Mexico. SAVE THIS FORM with your passport- you'll need this on your return. After this, you can drop off your luggage at the airlines counter (if you have checked luggage) and you're off to your gates. We have the Priority Pass and we're able to use their VIP lounge. For comparison, a US carrier from San Diego to Mexico City would have cost us $1,400 round trip (economy seats, 2 checked luggage, and seat selections). Volaris costs us $800 Tijuana to Mexico City round trip (premium seats, 2 checked luggage, seat selections, priority boarding). It's a no-brainer! read more

We were headed south of the border for the weekend and this place looked like it had some of the best exchange rates, as well as efficient and clean facilities. We exchanged about $100 in the pesos and the transaction was smooth, and hassle free. The location itself was a bit further from the freeway than I thought it was going to be, although it was on the way. The parking was also easy as it had its own lot. We were able to complete our transaction within five minutes. Not too bad for a holiday weekend, although there weren't too many people around in the morning. Overall four stars for being good at what it does. No ups, no extras, just simplicity and efficiency. I would probably come back again. read more

Border X Change - Currency Exchange Near Me - San Diego, California

Was very easy to use. Would highly recommend for anyone flying out of TIJ but lives close enough to drive to CBX. Will definitely use again

WORST FUCKING PLACE TO EXCHANGE MONEY! Don't even bother getting the app at all! No instructions besides sign in with google or apple email then start freezing. And the app ALLOWS you to freeze money multiple times yet blocks your account WITHOUT telling you and continues to allow you to freeze money. Now with THAT of the way the little twat that was wearing a UC sweater by the name of Janeth in the first register has THE WORST customer service. When I explained the app allowed me and never gave a warning or NOTIFIED me that I was blocked or not allowed to freeze multiple amounts she laughed and said it does. I replied with no it doesn't and that it does not block me from freezing more that I have a code. She laughed AGAIN and said it's in the terms...there was NO terms to read or instructions to let you know you can only freeze once per day. Mind you my mother was next to me as she was exchanging money as well and she had NO issue with her standing next to me but as soon as my mother started handing her the money she had an issue and said only the person that's exchanging money can be at the window...mindful of the fact that she was standing there when I was exchanging and she wasn't and she didn't say ANYTHING. If you want to deal with a company who lets their employees LAUGH at customers who are taking the money they work hard for them go here. Otherwise there is A LOT of other exchange places that have the same rates and customer service that's actually worth something. read more

First time doing X change and found BXC both convenient & trust worthy at a competitive rate. I will return

They exchanged our money lol it is what it is. But I had to use the restroom so bad and they don't offer public use of their restrooms so maybe send someone else in and wait in the car unless you wanna do the pee pee dance while they count your cash out to you. read more
