After arriving from the United States, I was eagerly looking for a dive shop on Boracay, in the Philippines. It's been a while since I was here and I had to do a lot of work to choose, contact and then visit the dive shop. Many search engines give phone numbers that do not work and Yelp is kind of sparse in the Philippines. So most businesses, sometimes do not show up. Personally, I think they need more exposure because some of these places are good and in my review I wish to highlight these establishments.
One of the owners, Marge, was polite and friendly, and was willing to accommodate my schedule. Even though I have done it many times at other dive shops in different countries, I still like to only go for the discover scuba which is sometimes called a beginners course class and is about three hours. Luca was my instructor and he took very good care of me, gave a good theory presentation and was very patient with me in both the confined lesson in the ocean and then of course the main boat dive.
Unfortunately, Boracay seems to be depleted of a lot of marine life, and the visibility was not very good either, but there was a lot of coral to witness. That is why the dive site is called Coral Garden. read more
