I had never tried this place coming to Starkville for years. After my daughter came to school here and tried it, it has become our go to place for a sweet treat. I've liked everything that I've tried but my favorites are the Italian Ice with Frozen Custard or the Smoothies with the Frozen Custard especially the Wildberry. Since kickoff was at 8 o'clock, I took a nap before the game. When I up, I walked to Bop's for some ice cream. I decided to go for something simple and got a butterscotch sundae. The employees were very friendly, and there was no wait to get my order. They have a big menu with something for anyone (unless it's a person who doesn't like desserts, but that's on them and not Bop's). It hit me as I was eating my sundae that except for having whipped cream, the sundae was no better than one I could have bought at McDonald's except that I paid two to three times as much (my sundae cost $5.33 before a tip.) I'm giving them three stars: 5 stars for service, 3 stars for the food, and 1 star for value. The last time I was here, I got a Margaritaville sundae. This a sundae with pineapple, coconut and banana. It was a couple of dollars more, but I felt it was a better value so if I go here again I'll splurge and get more instead of going for a simple sundae. read more

However I went tonight and walked up to the counter at 9:56 yes I realize they close at 10:00 but both employees are in the back and look up and see me. They go back to what they are doing and finally come to the window at 10:00 and tell me they are closed.
