I went in to get a prescription the other day and despite the two phamacists working there was a sign saying closed for lunch. I asked the assistant if it would be possible to check if they had it rathert than me wait around for no reason, and sure enough they were out of stock. The pharmacist did reluctantly call the redhill branch to check for me, but I really felt he was not happy about doing it and resented me asking!

This may only be a smaller Boots (when compared to the Redhill one just a couple of miles up the…read moreroad) but I always favour this one over some of the larger branches. I rarely visit in the week, and as such, my only real experience of the store is at the weekend when shopping in Reigate. The store is dated, however is always incredibly well stocked and is bright and welcoming. Products are well displayed and I have yet to leave without everything that I went in for. Whilst all this is typical of Boots, what makes the Reigate branch really stand out is the staff. Being a busy smaller store with a limited number of tills, queues seem to be the norm here but they always move quickly and I've never waited for more than 5 minutes. All of the staff I have encountered, despite all being young (probably just weekend staff) have been friendly, polite and efficient and not the normal robotic type you meet in most stores - I almost always have conversations with them. They are always really happy to help and will go out of their way to ensure that you are completely happy with everything and are also prepared to order in products that they may not necessarily stock. They always look happy to be there and this is nice to see. One lad in particular, who I think may be the supervisor and is usually manning the counter on Sundays, is incredibly friendly and always seems to recognise me, and in the past was absolutely superb when I had an embarrasing rash and needed some advice. I was apprehensive about speaking to him about this, but he was kind, showed concern and was non-intrusive and completely put me at ease. He gave valuable advice and recommended a couple of products, but what really pleased me and has made me a regular at this store is that he showed me a cheaper option if I wanted to save money, and offered me complete advice on dosage and how to use the product - it is rare these days that staff in shops are as concerned about the customer as he was. Overall, if you're prepared to enter into a bit of a timewarp and join a short queue to pay, I highly recommend this chemist and its lovely team for all of your health and beauty needs in Reigate!

This is my favourite pharmacy since moving to the UK 3 years ago…read more Due to my cancer diagnosis I am taking several different kind of medications, one of which I need a specific brand off as it is the only one that agrees with me. I spoke to the pharmacy about this and as it wasn't the brand they usually stocked the decided to order the medication from all the different providers they use, in order to see if any of them provide the brand I need. Out of their three providers one had the brand I need and since then they always order this specific brand for me. They are also very swift in getting the medications in for me, I usually only have to wait 48 hrs from placing a repeat prescription request until my medication is ready to pick up. Recently there was an issue with another medication I am taking, as the manufacturer had run out completely. They pharmacy immediately found me an alternative and contacted my GP to ask permission to change the prescription to the alternative medication instead. The fact that they sorted it out for me without me having to ask for it was amazing and it took a lot off stress of my hands. It also saved me from having to change medication and suffering the resulting withdrawal symptoms which are terrible. The staff at the counter are also very friendly and helpful. I recently went to buy some sudafed and the lady made sure that it is safe for me to take it with my other medications, again without me having to ask for this service. I love going to this pharmacy. They are so friendly, efficient and helpful. I've never had to wait in line for more than 2 minutes.

I wish I could give this pharmacy a better review, as before we had an incident (more on that…read morelater), I used to think of this place as a friendly, little bit of everything type of shop. The staff was friendly, they had soooooo many things one might need, medicines of all kinds, every lotion and potion you can imagine. And the wait was never very long, no matter how busy the shop got. However. Once when my two sons had conjunctivitis, we were given the wrong medicine. We were given ear drops instead of eye drops--same medication, ten times the strength, not an eye-friendly solution. The pharmacist came to our door, cap in hand, to tell me about the mistake, and came back a day later to see how my sons were, which was kind, but I still cannot help thinking about what could've happened. We contacted the manufacturer and luckily there wasn't any permanent damage, but were told that it would've been excruciating for my sons to have these in their eyes, which they did for two days before the pharmacy noticed the mix up. And I thought they were just being dramatic. I was in tears of agony and guilt, thinking of the pain I'd put them through when I was only trying to make them better. At any rate, I've been put off of them for life, as you can well imagine. You may fare better. I just highly recommend you check the labels of your medicine
