My only annoyance was a recent decision to block off one of the exits (the one nearest the car park) which is a shame as it was a nice shortcut into the shopping centre when it was raining. I gather this was to reduce shoplifting, so I'm not going to blame management for that. Instead I'll blame the pilferer and hope their roofs at home all leak so they get wet as well. The shelves in the shop can often be a bit haphazard as so many people seem to change their mind about buying something and just ditch it wherever. For some reason I notice this more in here than just about any other shop.

This store offers makeup services, application sessions and lessons (great for learning new techniques), and demos on the spot if you're just a walk-in customer. When I visited, all the staff (I think there was 3 of them) were all busy looking after customers who were getting makeovers so I wasn't offered any help but I was happy to have a wee look around myself anyway. I'd definitely return for an in-store makeup session, particularly because the cost is redeemable against a purchase - so even if you don't want to go all out with a whole new look, you could treat yourself to a lovely new lipstick or something like that.

She kept stacking things on the shelf on every aisle I went to and was clearly watching me. I am a professional and have a very well paid job, the last thing I would do is steal anything. I don't know if it was because I was in sportswear as I had just been to the gym or because I look quite young but I found it very uncomfortable. Even though I had planned on buying a few things I had to leave. I understand that you have to watch for thieves but watching someone to that extent is very off-putting.

Their stuff is lovely (if not pricey) - they were doing a deal on the underwear, 3 pairs of pants/underpants for £27. I didn't really look at the beauty item packs but there was heaps of them so they'd make for a nice, last minute-present if you needed to grab one. They also had some luggage on sale. So this is a 3-star review only because I can't understand why a store which is so well known for it's underwear sells barely any at this location.

One of the shops I did secretly enjoy though was the Body Shop, it just smells so good. Having matured since those days my secretive liking of the Body Shop continues. If you are unfamiliar with the body shop they sell all sorts of toiletries, beauty products and candles that smell awesome. I think they are all made from natural products and not tested on animals. Basically if you need anything toiletry wise and you want it to smell really really good then this is where you want to be headed.

I used to go to Lush to treat myself and get most of my toiletries from Asda or Semi Chem, maybe Boots.. but now I get virtually everything out of Lush and so The Body Shop is my new favourite place to treat myself. Admittedly, I usually go to the Sauchiehall Street branch, but this one offers just as good a selection. The staff are suitably attractive and the prices are too. Coconut Body Butter.. Lip Balm.. So many amazing products. It's rare for me to dive in here to treat myself, but hey, I have a birthday every year the same as everyone else. So if you're not sure what to get me.. use your imagination and go in here!

It's a bit cramped between racks of clothes but this is a minor quibble. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly every time I've visited.
