I have used the surgery at this address for about 7 years. I didn't use the chemist here, as I…read morethought it would be easier to use one in the city, practical for me to collect. Unfortunately as I only use buses & can't walk that far, my choice was limited in the options open. Went with Boots, London Street & it was ok, but gradually went downhill. I moved over about 18 months ago to a "Well" pharmacy near me, this was ok mostly & if I did have to go back, it was on my way home. Sadly, this shut down suddenly in October, was given back my prescription on paper, in September. So I thought, maybe it makes sense to use the Boots within the surgery, wrong! It's been very poor from the start, long waits, items not ready. But more worryingly, 1 month there were only about 2 items & I have many items, my Rheumatoid Arthritis injections weren't there. Different chemist in charge every time, staff were unhelpful about what to do about missing items. They then told me to call the surgery reception (few paces away) who then blamed Boots, that they hadn't collected the script, as this is still done by a paper prescription. I also have a controlled drug that runs out quickly, worries me. This takes us up to now, was told due to New Year/holidays, my meds would be in by Friday 27 Th December & I'd get a text. By 5 pm yesterday, no text, so I phoned Boots there, woman brusquely said couldn't hear me properly (I have a cold/bug) then just as brusquely said, "what's your name" & what are you waiting for. Told her & she said, in a bored voice, yes it's here & we don't open Saturdays. I will be going to the surgery tomorrow as have GP appointment, will be taking my prescription & going elsewhere (maybe Superdrug) or home delivery. Looked on google reviews & Boots pharmacies all over country have bad reviews & no one from company have replied.

This is a good sized store that sells a good range of products including, cosmetics, fragrances,…read moregifts, personal hygiene, babys items which are; nappies, wipes and maternity bits too. This store is a good size and i have always found them to be slightly cheaper than similar shops around. They have some good deals on various products too especially leading up to christmas to tempt you in and more soo in the sales after christmas. I do like to have a good look around this store but it can get quite busy especially at weekends but it's always clean and tidy whenever i've been in here no matter what time of the day.
