The store really does stand out on Albion Street but for good reasons, the modern glass store and it is quite vibrant especially compared to the poorly maintained old building (possibly Grade listing), which is home to Starbucks across the way. The "Food and drink" section has a decent selection, but it is pretty weird having small drinks fridge outside of the main, signposted section, and with it being split into 4 corners (a square of fridges), the selection was typical of Boots but again wasn't as broad as other larger branches, such as Manchester Market Street. Facilities in the store did seem pretty decent, including an Opticians and Chemist. Decent Boots store overall, pretty much average to what one would expect to serve a large city, it doesn't tend to go above and beyond compared to both other branches of Boots, similar rivals and my expectations, however. 3*

Floor upon floor is smelly stuff that delight women so very much. For the man, it's laid out so it's easy to navigate. So you can run in, get the stinky stuff and get back out. Better than my home town Boots, friendly staff. But more importantly you can get out fast.

Their meals deals are excellent, by far the best quality food I have tried in a packet sandwich. They have a huge range including a healthy option and a less healthy option like quiches. The suchi here is devine. The best sushi I've tried that is not from a restaurant.  Away from the food the staff are great, so friendly and helpful and alway gave a smile on their faces. There are a few makeup pieces and beauty products in the shop and the staff are always more than happy to help.  There is also a pharmacy at the end if the shop that I have to use on a regular basis. The medication I need always needs ordering in but they make sure it arrives by the next day and are always quick to tell me with any changes in anything.  Definitely a great place to grab food or a few essentials just make sure you get your advantage card!

With a pharmacy where you can collect prescriptions, as well as selling a smaller range of the larger Boots store products. There is also a small clearance counter. They currently have all the new christmas gift sets out on 342 so grab yourself a bargain. However if you go avoid lunch hour as the shop is popular with the local office workers for its meal deal, a sandwich/salad, a snack and a drink for £2.99 and if you have an advantage card when you buy 5 meal deals in a month you get your 6th free.

Unfortunately last night I was in the situation and needed to locate a pharmacy at half ten. Pharmacy 100 was recommended to us by the doctor and we headed there straight away. Brilliant! Antibiotics could be picked up and toothache abolished! I thought picking up a prescription at this time at night would be an absolute mission!! Despite being happy with the time of the service the staff were quite rude, obviously not too pleased with their late night hours. However I feel when dealing with ill clients who will feel a little worst for wear, pharmacists should be smiling, friendly and patient. This was not the case. In addition to this the area is a little dodgy. The shop is a bit isolated and a large way out from the city center. I felt vulnerable when walking to the shop from the car. I would advise everyone to take someone with them when picking up their medicine!

So, obviously, it has all the basics you could require from a pharmacy: skin products, hair products, medicines, travel style items and so on. But it's their helpful way of dealing with prescriptions that I've found most useful whilst using their services. A while back I bought some prescription medicine, and at the time this required ordering in. I paid for it, left my details, and promptly forgot all about it. Happily, they were then able to leave me an answering machine message, and even posted me a reminder through the mail to pick it up -beyond helpful, as often my brain will sieve process that kind of information. Next, you've the ladies who work there. They're always so friendly and helpful, whether it's making sure you're on the right prescription, checking whether it's safe to take the medicines and offering solid information on small queries which don't require a doctor appointment. Add in to that the friendly banter and chat, this time being about the earrings that I'd made (and how they could make themselves a pair) and what would usually be a standard task to complete becomes a mini highlight of the day. I know it sounds silly -it's just good customer service -but in a world where often the retail sector merely processes money from your account, it's great to lift your day talking to genuinely lovely people! Anyway, that might just be me, but I think these guys are reet lovely.

For toiletries and other things go to a bigger Boots, or better yet, Wilkinsons, where you'll save a fortune.
