The store appeared to be fairly presentable, it appears to have had a slight refurb to fit into the refurbished part of Leeds Station very well. Prices were a little high on the to-go food and drink, selection and pricing is better at other outlets inside the station including WHSmith and Sainsbury's. As well as the Pharmacy that you find in every Boots store, there is also an Optician and Hearing Care facility. Prices are competitive, other than the food/drink section, which I always find to be rather expensive at Boots compared to rival chains, as they rarely seem to have any offers in that section, combined with higher prices before promotional offers even come into play too. The selection is reasonable, the staff were friendly enough and this is a good Boots location overall that I would return to on future visits to York. 4*

We went to this Boots Pharmacy today ("pharmacy" being a huge understatement, as the store is large and it's very much like an American chain store) and bought the item we needed. The man who rang up our purchase (in the pharmacy section) was SUPER-friendly and we had a delightful conversation with him. So, obviously, it has all the basics you could require from a pharmacy: skin products, hair products, medicines, travel style items and so on. But it's their helpful way of dealing with prescriptions that I've found most useful whilst using their services. A while back I bought some prescription medicine, and at the time this required ordering in. I paid for it, left my details, and promptly forgot all about it. Happily, they were then able to leave me an answering machine message, and even posted me a reminder through the mail to pick it up -beyond helpful, as often my brain will sieve process that kind of information. Next, you've the ladies who work there. They're always so friendly and helpful, whether it's making sure you're on the right prescription, checking whether it's safe to take the medicines and offering solid information on small queries which don't require a doctor appointment. Add in to that the friendly banter and chat, this time being about the earrings that I'd made (and how they could make themselves a pair) and what would usually be a standard task to complete becomes a mini highlight of the day. I know it sounds silly -it's just good customer service -but in a world where often the retail sector merely processes money from your account, it's great to lift your day talking to genuinely lovely people! It is with severely swollen cheek and a sad face that I write this review! Having just been to the…read moredentist this morning with a second horrendous infection in my wisdom tooth and surrounding face I had to nip by a pharmacy to pick up my second course of antibiotics from a pharmacy. Given that the first time I picked up my prescription from somewhere near the emergency dentist I realised that I didn't really know where to go. Suddenly I remembered! The Lloyds is almost a stone's throw away from where I live! Having gotten off the bus I walked around and into Lloyds. Immediately a friendly sales assistant offered me some help, to which I gave her my prescription. I paid and she said to take a seat whilst they got it ready. I sat down and within about four minutes had my prescription ready to take away! Very happy. Glancing about the shop revealed that they are a pretty well stocked pharmacy, with all the standard meds, body health kits, body fat scales and more that one might ever need. There are a lot of medicines in the 'supervised' purchase cabinets though, so be aware that you may have to ask. All good! Now, hopefully my face should start to recede. Hopefully ...

A huge Boots store in Leeds city centre, with multiple entrances through either Trinity Leeds or…read moreAlbion Street, in many ways this store reminds me of a slightly smaller version of Boots on Market Street, due to the many ways to get in and out of the store, and the store being pretty big and over multiple stores. The store really does stand out on Albion Street but for good reasons, the modern glass store and it is quite vibrant especially compared to the poorly maintained old building (possibly Grade listing), which is home to Starbucks across the way. The "Food and drink" section has a decent selection, but it is pretty weird having small drinks fridge outside of the main, signposted section, and with it being split into 4 corners (a square of fridges), the selection was typical of Boots but again wasn't as broad as other larger branches, such as Manchester Market Street. Facilities in the store did seem pretty decent, including an Opticians and Chemist. Decent Boots store overall, pretty much average to what one would expect to serve a large city, it doesn't tend to go above and beyond compared to both other branches of Boots, similar rivals and my expectations, however. 3*

The cosmetics selection is surprisingly extensive, even though they don't have a huge range of the more expensive brands, which I suppose is one of the nice things about Superdrug. They have plenty of check outs, although I've yet to see more than about 3 of them in use, I've also very rarely seen queues more than two or three people long. They also have a "brow bar" for eyebrow threading and shaping. Offers are available for those who hold the loyalty card, which you can also sign up for in store. Students who hold an NUS card can also get a 10% discount.

Situated along the main strip of shops on Roundhay road, just before that awful junction and traffic lights section, it is easy to find and really handy. They sell a number of useful products, cold and flu medicines, shampoos, bath items, plasters, skin creams and all of the usual items that you would expect to find in a pharmacy. The staff also seem pretty helpful. We've all got those niggling questions that aren't quite big enough to warrant a doctor's appointment, so in this event, just nip in and ask - that's what they're there for! Although I love big branch pharmacies such as boots because of the huge range of make up and bath bubbles, I really appreciate the speed at which this place gets you your medication. When you are feeling ill the last thing you want to do is to wait 15 minutes for the pharmacist to get you the drugs that are fingers crossed going to make you feel better again. This place is a little rescue from having to cue for ages and it's well stocked with treatments you don't need to see your doctor for. For such a small place they have an impressive amount, from make-up to protein shakes, splints and slings to all you need for the colds and flu viruses that tend to make their rounds this time of year.

(8:30 am to 5:30 pm) The store is fairly clean and well laid out, I was able to get in and out of the store within a couple of minutes, due to the friendly and fast service at the checkout, I did only look to purchase a drink from their fridges (again compact but good selection), and was able to do this. Again, the store is reasonably stocked, but there are limitations due to the size of the size, so you may want to use the click-and-collect feature from Superdrug's website, where you can order items into the store, on most occasions the time frame is reasonable, but not always quicker than home delivery. 4*
